Bride of Frankenstein : The best horror sequel of all time?

I'd say so. It's at least up there among the best, if not THE best

Bride of Frankenstein, Aliens, and Terminator 2 are the three best horror movie sequels. They all top their first film. Oddly enough, they all mostly abandoned the horror element in favour of comedy, action, or drama. Evil Dead 2 is another genre hopper that is much better than its predecessor, but it's nowhere near the same class of greatness Bride, Aliens, and T2 are.

Aliens doesn't belong on that list because the writing and directing took a step down. James Cameron can't compete even when he's imitating a classic. He turned an intelligent thriller into a big dumb action movie.

The other sequels are better simply because the originals weren't very good.

In my opinion it's not only the best horror sequel, it's also the best sequel of all time. The only sequels that I feel challenge Bride are The Godfather Part II, The Empire Strikes Back, and The Dark Knight.

Terminator 2, a horror? I question if you've even seen the film.
