I think it was Tom trying to impress Cyrus..by getting Cyrus the presidency. Then maybe Cy will leave his new husband (Damn, I already forgot his name) for Tom.

If it's Tom I think he would have done it to set Cyrus up. He would know Cyrus would be the main suspect and he's pissed that Cyrus used him and then rejected him

I think the journey that the writers are taking in her character is one of an ambitious, manipulative-will do anything to get out of the shadows of Olivia Pope kind of person. Besides she's clearly power hungry, imagine how she must feel knowing she would have to quit her job once the Presidency was over. I think she planned the whole thing, and probably suspected that Olivia and the team would think that Cyrus did it. That way Mellie would win the Presidency and Fitz would recommend her as Secretary of State or some power position for Mellie's team. Except the plan didn't work because Mellie lost, so Abby's in a pickle. I mean Fitz ended up nominating Cyrus, I don't think she saw that coming especially since they were campaigning against him.

That's an interesting perspective and nobody else would ever suspect her. She is power hungry but I don't want to see her go that route.

Maybe she's working with Papa Pope. Perhaps he promised to make her Command.

It's weird, but I also had this feeling, myself. Olivia, even came to mind. However, even if it's not Cyrus, I still don't want him president.

I would laugh if it turned out to be Fitz exacting revenge on Cyrus. Bean totally invalidated Fitz's election with all the vote tampering. It would be a sweat revenge indeed, especially if he can keep his hands clean of it all
