Which is mostly likely why it does not have a larger audience. Great show, but you really have to be patient to follow it.

It's meant to a contemplative and introspective drama. A slow, steady pace. Though I imagine that there will be some action in at least a few of the final episodes. Personally, I love the show and it's style/timing.

But condensed into five minutes? Idiotic. Anything can be condensed into five minutes. In fact less; it's called Twitter.

They don't give Peabody Awards to oil paintings. They obviously do to unique and contemplative dramas, though.

If they had made season 3 two or three episodes longer, they probably could've wrapped up the story. Instead, we have a new season that just goes off in many directions without dealing with the plot that people actually care about.

Jared & The Furbies mystery has been resolved at least.

Most people that watch this show don't much care about the murder mystery aspect, if that's what you mean by the plot. The whodunit premise is just an excuse for the existence of all the character drama.

Totally agree with LCShackley and OP. Very boring season. Too many arcsand not the focus about who did it.

I watched all the seasons and kind of had a love/hate relationship with this show.
I absolutely love dramas but this one was often far too slow for even my taste.
Oil painting analogy is hilarious ha ha
But I have to hand it to them, the last couple episodes were very satisfying and completely picked up on the pace. I think they had just enough subject material to fill one or two seasons at most. The finale was really nice. I especially loved Teddy's arc because he was my favourite character by a long shot.

I didn't like teddy, until this season,
but his emotional growth since the coffee cracking, and divorce has been outstanding, my second favourite actor on the show, besides the always marvelous aden young
