Who are some white artists who took a stand against apartheid and/or racial segregation before it became the norm? I am well aware of Steven Van Zandt's 1985 Artists United Against Apartheid "Sun City" album. I am thinking of events before then. I know The Beatles refused to perform for segregated audiences in Jacksonville, Florida. They also refused to play in South Africa. Gram Parsons left The Byrds due to a planned tour of South Africa. Who are some other artists who took similar stands?
