Joe's final appearance as Stefano is set for February 9th.

Right, it better not be a flashback or dream or ghost. Given the current plot of trying to get Hope out of prison and exonerated, it almost certainly has to be the real, living Stefano.

My question iswhen did the writers and show decide to bring Stefano back like this? Was this always planned from the time Hope shot Stefano or did this all come about because of the blowback from viewers over Hope killing the "defenseless old man in a wheelchair"? Or was this totally a Dena idea and implementation?

Either way, it has to be a final nail in Corday's foolish promisse of not bringing anyone back from the dead again after September 2015.

Thanks rwm. Hopefully I will be caught up on the episodes by then. I'm still a week behind. I'm looking forward to seeing him again on the show.

I don't think this will have anything to do with Will. The reason Dena and Ryan (the headwriters) are bringing Sonny to Prague is not to find Will again, but to give him some romantic scenes in Europe with Paul. Stefano, to our knowledge, had nothing to do with Will's murder. I think it's safe to say the writers have moved on from Sonny & Will to Sonny & Paul at this point.

Because the writers usually telegraph these things (foreshadow it) in advance. People would be talking about Will. We'd see a flashback of Will (either actor) and a point would be made to connect him to the current story if they were resurrecting the character. The writers at this time keep putting Sonny's focus on Paul, which suggests they're the new same-sex super couple.

LOL, once again a trend that has nothing to do with Will or Sonny becomes about Will or Sonny.

It was kinda hinted but we didn't know for sure.

For real? I thought that the last we would see of him would be the murder storyline. I had no doubt that the Phoenix would have risen again, but with Joe's death, that seemed destined never to happen. But now he's coming back! One last glorious Phoenix music sting, and maybe one last "It's good to be back." One last scene with John? Don't screw this one up, show.

Gonna miss you, Joe. But one last time will be nice.

I find concussion quite invigorating.

Yes, it would be nice to see one last scene with Stefano and John, but I think Drake was still out when this was recorded. At least we'll get Marlena.

I am soo happy this was able to happen! I prayed there was time to change things with Joe able to shoot the scenes once more. There was no way Stefano dies, he is one character we could never send off dead. He has to be out there, the pheonix always rises.
