Re: I hate this Chloe's baby storyline.
I am sick of embryo storylines. They happen constantly in soap operas, not so much in real life and they need to give it a rest. There's currently one on GH as well; there was just one last year on Days (Kristen and Theresa). I mean the writers have to know it's stupid and overdone. It's like they dash off another embryo story while they're having their breakfast because they can't be bothered thinking up something original.

Re: I hate this Chloe's baby storyline.
What bothers me about the last 2 embryo stories is that the embryo was implanted into a surrogate before the mother even knew anything about the "baby" at all.
The baby is taken from the natural mother without her ever knowing it existed.

Re: I hate this Chloe's baby storyline.
I mean, yes and no. Nicole knew the embryos existed; and even granted Chloe permission to try again, without either her or Daniel being proactively involved - although it's great soap logic that Chloe could do that, without any question of who was footing the bill for each try. By all rights of the arrangement Nicole and Daniel made with Chloe, they pretty much all mutually agreed for Chloe to do exactly what she did; to take the initiative to try again at her own discretion, and likewise tell them if it was successful when she thought it was appropriate. Given the widespread understanding of Nicole's emotional vulnerability around the subject, it would also go without saying that it would be the most prudent course of action not to say anything unless she had good news. Nicole definitely didn't need to be told about any subsequent failures in the process, even before Daniel died.
What's more absurd is Nicole's inexplicable dissonance, where she could know that Chloe had the capacity and access to be pregnant with her child, and yet completely dismissed the possibility.
As for the rest of it; sure, in a perfect world Nicole might get her happy ending and raise her child, but I honestly can't disagree with Chloe's reasoning that Holly is safer in virtually any other environment than a setting where Deimos Kiriakis would have anything to do with her upbringing or well being. He is a bad man, who borders on being a sociopath. He's already demonstrated that he's not above being verbally abuse to people he claims to love, like Nicole, in retaliation to the smallest perceived personal slight. He's physically abused his own nephew, in a ridiculous bid to get answers he deemed he was entitled to. He lacks all objective self-awareness about his behavior; he professes turning over a new leaf, yet he believes everything he does is always justified and correct, and that he hasn't done anything wrong since "becoming a better man".
If there was even the slightest doubt in my mind, the second he started talking about becoming Holly's step-father, it became unquestionable that it would be better for Holly, in the long run, to be raised by almost anyone else in the world and to break Nicole's heart, than to let Deimos anywhere near her.

Re: I hate this Chloe's baby storyline.
Chloe is a hypocrite. How different is Deimos from Victor? I mean I like Vic and not Deimos, but that has more to do with charisma and charm, good acting, and an epic presence.
But that aside, they are/were both dangerous mobsters. Chloe let Parker stay over at Victor's and Maggie's many many times. She was married into a mob family(Brady). When it was thought Philip was Parker's son, she didn't keep him away despite being the mobster's son. And in fact she was recently buddies with Philip.
As much as I agree about about Chloe's sentiments about Deimos, she can't go around policing other people's love lives. After this is all over what is she gonna do? Threaten to take the kid away every time she doesn't like Nicole's latest bf.
I'm beginning to think that subconsciously, this also has to do with her and Deimos making plans to go away with each other, and then Nicole showing up and ruining that. Also let's not forget her obsession with Dr. Dan.

Re: I hate this Chloe's baby storyline.
That's pretty flimsy reasoning or comparison. Where Deimos talks big about being a changed man, Victor really has demonstrated that's he's pulled back on most of the more questionable or dangerous tendencies from his past; in some ways he might be described as having gone soft, especially after getting involved with Maggie. In the case of Parker in particular, whether it was Daniel or Philip acting as co-parent, both men were of a comparatively better character than Victor; Daniel perhaps better than Philip, but more often than not, Philip has typically been depicted as an honorable person, who albeit gets tripped up from time to time. In either case, both men were respectable and could be expected to have good judgment as a father, and determining what would be safe for their son Parker. Parker visiting Maggie or Victor was as much either Daniel or Philip's call as it was Chloe's, arguably more so, given the nature of their shared custody and the fact that in both cases Victor and Maggie were their family, rather than Chloe's.
I would be very skeptical that the real, flesh and blood Daniel Jonas would want Deimos to influence the upbringing of his daughter; and we know for a fact that Philip objected to their notion, that he would help Chloe protect that child from Deimos.

That's just bull *beep* She was as much married into a mob family, as she married into a spy family. At the time of their marriage, Brady may have had a close relationship with his grandfather, but he was first and foremost the son of John Black. And at any given time that Brady has been given control of Titan, his first priority was to make it legitimate and cut all ties to any of the shady deals they had in the past; something Victor may not have been keen on, but abided.
She was married into a mob family(Brady).
This isn't about not liking her boyfriend, this is about the wellbeing of a child, and the fact that Deimos has proven himself capable of emotional and even physical abuse against his own family and the people he claims to love. Under those circumstances, yes, the sanctity and security of Holly's home environment and personal upbringing takes priority over who Nicole wants to shack up with; absolutely, and always. If Nicole can't recognize when she's in an unhealthy relationship, then someone has to, for Holly's sake. If they don't, she's either liable to turn out like Deimos, or fall victim to his unceasing anger and pettiness.
Threaten to take the kid away every time she doesn't like Nicole's latest bf.

Nope. It's true. She was married into a mob family. Can't change history as much as you would like to.
This isn't about not liking her boyfriend, this is about the well being of a child,
I love when I have to spell everything out so that people can get the deeper meaning. Here fixed it.: Threaten to take the kid away every time she judges Nicole's latest bf is dangerous.
That's pretty flimsy reasoning or comparison.
Speaking of flimsy, all I see from your post is a lot of excuses, and far fetched stretches.

Re: I hate this Chloe's baby storyline.
No, she did not marry into a mob family; Brady was not a part of the mob. Deimos is dangerous.
You are an idiot.
You are an idiot.
Re: I hate this Chloe's baby storyline.
Family: mother, father, brother, sister, Grandfather..bingo we have a winner! Victor who is Brady's grandpa, both very close, and in fact Brady lived at Victor's during the Chloe/Brady romance and marriage. So YES, she did marry into a mob family.
I didn't name call. How immature. Just because I didn't agree with you about a soap opera. How petty can you be.

Re: I hate this Chloe's baby storyline.
I was coming on here to say this. I'm watching today's episode now. Chloe's wanting to keep Holly away from Nicole/Deimos seems more to do with her (Chloe) being jealous. That not one but, two men chose to be with Nicole and not her. Always Ghoul Girl. And to think I used to like her.
Re: I hate this Chloe's baby storyline.
I think she's unhinged. I wouldn't be surprised if she is the one that ends up endangering Holly.

Agreed. This horrible storyline has ruined Chloe for me. I hope Nicole cuts ties with her for kidnapping her child.

Re: I hate this Chloe's baby storyline.
The next question I have is, does this mean that Victor is going to bury the hatchet with Nicole & help her get Holly, given that the kid's father is Daniel's ?
That's an interesting question. The writers have been softening Victor but there was a lot of bad blood between him and Nicole.
Re: I hate this Chloe's baby storyline.
There was a lot of bad blood between him and Chloe too. He blamed her for Brady's drug addiction. Unfairly, but still

Yes. I'd forgotten about that. Like Nicole said in a recent episode, she and Chloe haven't been angels.
Re: I hate this Chloe's baby storyline.
I like this storyline, and I think this is the only embryo story line that I liked.
This one actually made sense opposed to the Theresa one.
