Steve McQueen : He should change his name

Yeah of course; because everybody knows Steve McQueen by the name Terrence

They're probably related, the resemblance is uncanny.

I think he's his nephew or something.

Of course he has every right to keep his birth name, but let's be honest: this guy's parents were *beep* for naming him Steve McQueen. I know someone quoted Office Space earlier, and that's a great example of why I would change my name if I were him. Every time he introduces himself to someone for his entire life, they're going to react in an annoying way because he has the same name as someone who is far more famous. If I were him, I would do it for my own sake more than anybody's.

Fake Steve McQueen, I served with Real Steve McQueen, I knew Steve McQueen, Steve McQueen was a friend of mine. You're no Steve McQueen.

It's his prerogative, but I think it's in his best interest to differentiate his name from the more famous Steve McQueen. Does he really want to spend the rest of his life in a very public industry constantly saying things like, "Yes my name really is Steve McQueen. Yes, like the actor."? If he's okay with that, then that's his business, but I, myself, would get very tired of it.

If I'd been born with the name James Dean or Marlon Brando, I would go by a different name if I were entering the film industry.

"Hi, I'm an aspiring young movie director. My name is Marlon Q. Brando."
