Help with an old technics amp and speakers

I have a few questions that I can't find a certain answer for on the internet.

It involves the connection of 2 X 120 watt speakers and a 150 watt sub (not self powered) to an Amp, that doesn't have a 'sub' outlet on the back, only Speakers 'A', 'B' and 'Surround'.... where you can change between 'A' and 'B' via a button on the front.., it is old skool speaker wires and not RCA connections I am using..
Can provide photos of the back of the Amp and any more info required.

Basically, I can't get both the speakers and the sub working at the same time.

Dodgson, Dodgson. We've got Dodgson here!!

Re: Help with an old technics amp and speakers

You can't, not properly. Maybe if you scrounge up an autosound (or pro audio) active crossover, then another stereo amp to drive the subwoofer.

Better to just cruise thrift stores, pawn shops, yard sales, laundromat bulletin boards and look for a pre-HDMI digital surround receiver. I've seen some under $50. Then use one channel of the stereo amp to feed the passive sub.

Re: Help with an old technics amp and speakers

technics amp is not old school. it is only good school

A B is just a switch. u have 2 channels not 4. but u can connect 4 speakers on 2 channels if u wish. stereo

not RCA connections?

XLR are modern new age speaker connectors. RCA are not connectors for speakers. new designs use RCA for every *beep*

so as he told u, u need an extra amps...
