Blind Date : What were the character's jobs?

What were Walter Davis (Bruce Willis) and Nadia Gates (Kim Basinger) occupations? I know Walter was a "Businessman" but that too generic, what did he do and what did the company do?

It seems Walter was a typical business controller - he retrieved lots of figures from databases and presented them as reports to the managers.

What did it have to do with Yakimoto were they his accountants i know they weren't, but why did the whole business evolve around yakimoto???

I copied that from some review. He used to play the guitar but couldn't earn a living at it. I realy don't remember what Nadia does, but I believe she was 'between' jobs and about to move 'back to Baton Rouge' to live with her "Mama".
David was a sleazy attorney (redundant).
His dad was a Judge.
Phil Hartman's character was a used car dealer.
