Region Free Blu-ray collection question

I'm looking at a complete series collection on Amazon and wondering if the region free sets can play on US blu-ray players or not?

Re: Region Free Blu-ray collection question

If it's region-free it'll play on anything. What you will want to check though if it's from Europe or the UK is if anything on the discs is in 50hz format, because that won't play on a US setup.

Only applies regarding the extra material, there it MIGHT have problems playing it, if they just copied the extras from the DVD release and therefor is in SD-PAL.
But most newer Blu-ray players can in their advanced options be set to convert PAL to NTSC.
So study first if you have that convert option in the advanced setup in the players menus.

Re: Region Free Blu-ray collection question

I have the Doctor Who: the Movie on Blu-Ray from the UK, and I can't get it to play on any Blu-Ray enabled system except on my PS4, and the bonus disc won't play unless I put it in my International DVD Player. It's the same with Nightmare on Elm Street Blu-Ray collection.
