Bad Ronald : Why not just let Mrs. Schumacher rot at the bottom of the steps?
Re: Why not just let Mrs. Schumacher rot at the bottom of the steps?
That wouldn't be cool.

Um, because that would be an obvious clue there was foul play afoot, or that something strange was going on?

I don't agree. Mrs. Schumacher was well known as a neighborhood snoop. Dabney and family come home, see a dead Mrs. Schumacher on the front steps, call for help. The autopsy shows she died of a heart attack. The super smart cops instantly deduce that the old lady had a heart attack while doing some routine snooping. Case closed.

I agree. Ronald should have let Mrs. Schumacher rot. His name was Bad Ronald, not Dumb Ronald. Maybe he panicked. Was he afraid Mrs. Schumacher would be resuscitated then blab that he was still around?
Re: Why not just let Mrs. Schumacher rot at the bottom of the steps?
I think Ronald knew she was dead but in his deteriorated mental state he believed that he would somehow be linked to it. Immediately after she collapses he says out loud to himself "they'll blame this on me too" and then goes outside to hide the body.
The creepy thing about this scene was how he made no attempt to hide or run away after being spotted by Mrs. Schumacher and just started slowly walking toward her. Would he have killed her if she had not died on her own?
