Doctor Who : Which came first: Time or Day of the Doctor?

Which came first: Time or Day of the Doctor?

I remember the 50th Special and how much I liked it, but I can't figure if the ageing 11th Doctor and then Capaldi's Doctor came first or not - which was it?

Why are you here if you haven't seen the movie yet?

Re: Which came first: Time or Day of the Doctor?

I'm not sure what you mean. The 50th special Day of the Doctor comes before Time of the Doctor. Capaldi's doctor makes an "Appearance" in Day of the Doctor but in terms of the 11th Doctor's (Matt Smith's) timeline Day is before Time.

Re: Which came first: Time or Day of the Doctor?

I'm only asking because Capaldi appears properly in Time and Day was when we had that wonderful shot of his fearsome eyes when the Time Lords said "No sir, all 13 of them!" So I saw the full package before I saw the sneak preview, so to speak.

Re: Which came first: Time or Day of the Doctor?

If you watched Time before Day then yeah I guess you could say you saw the full package before the sneak preview. Though my theory is that the reason you only saw his eyes is that it was shot shorty after casting and they hadn't decided on his costume yet.

Re: Which came first: Time or Day of the Doctor?

is that it was shot shorty

It certainly was.

Re: Which came first: Time or Day of the Doctor?

Does capaldi in day of the Doctor make sense? I thought time was profoundly altered at the moment that Eleven is given extra regenerations, but he is kind of portrayed as a standard iteration of the doctor in this scene. And then why wouldn't he be in the final shot of the episode?

The mans tongue didnt come through customs!

Re: Which came first: Time or Day of the Doctor?

No it makes no sense, just Moffat. The timeline at Trenzalore hadn't be altered yet. Moffat sometimes forgets stuff like this. His appearance was necessary to show Gallifrey the Doctor was out of regenerations.

Re: Which came first: Time or Day of the Doctor?

Day it was a month earlier. Couldn't you just check the dates of each episode instead of asking here?
