Young Doctors in Love : 4.9 stars…its better, and dumber, than that

Comedy in this form does not get much dumber than this nor much funnier. I've watched this every now and then since seeing it in the cinema when it first came out and it never fails to illicit a laugh. Dabny Coleman is spot on in his role as the chief surgeon and performs his comic bits with impeccable timing. Sean Young is in her prime and sexy as anything. The gags are plentiful and some are hilarious. It does go a bit over the top here and there but I thought that that was the point. I'm surprised that it did not get at least a six point somthing on the IMDB popular vote scale.

I just got done watching it and I think it's hilarious, at least a 6 or 7.

I watched this movie again after 30 years. It still has its moments definitely. I love this scene particularly:

One of the trainee doctors talks to Angela whom he is in love with, not realizing she is the son of a mafia boss, (badly) disguised as a woman.

Doctor: Do you play any instrument?
Angela: *beep* guitar
Doctor: Is that a special kind of guitar?
Angela: No, regular
Doctor: Oh
