Fast Times at Ridgemont High : Least favorite character
Re: Least favorite character
I agree
Re: Least favorite character
I agree on her being stuck up. But for me my least favorite was Ratner (sp?). I know he was relatable for many. But for me he was so extremely shy and didn't have much of a personality, to the point that I found him annoying to watch. Any scene he was in I found myself looking at the screen wanted to yell out at him to "Just do it!" Or "Just say it!". Just ridiculous. As much as Linda was stuck up, I'd rather listen to her babble on and be self-absorbed than watch his character that ended up having no actual point. The movie could have done without him and it would've been fine by me.

@Riseyrisa
Give Rat a break. He's just a painfully shy guy trying his best to come out of his shell. Yes, his self doubting was a bit tiresome, but when you're as awkward as he is around the opposite sex, it's tough.

Re: Least favorite character
Stuck up? Sure. Major sex appeal that made the film better? Absolutely.
Re: Least favorite character
Totally agree, a young Phoebe Cates was truly a sight to behold.

Least Favorite Character
For me it was Mike Damone. Granted nearly all the characters looked college aged, Damone looked especially old and out of place.

Re: Least favorite character
For the record, the actors portraying Demone and Ratner were both 25 when FTRH was filmed.
Phoebe Cates was the youngest of the main characters, she was 18 at the time, Jennifer Jason Leigh was 19, Sean Penn was 21 and Judge Reinhold was 24.

Re: Least favorite character
Wow Ratner looked so much younger than Damone!
I like all the characters, but Spicoli is probably my least favorite.

Re: Least favorite character
Mark Ratner had a more youthful appearance than Demone but he too didn't look like a teen. A couple years later in Police Academy 4 he and David Spade played skateboarding teens and he once again didn't look right for the part.
Re: Least favorite character
I didn't like Spicoli at the time. He was the ugliest guy that had had ever seen.

Re: Least favorite character
I know he's only a minor character but my least favorite character was that a-hole customer who lashed out at Brad because he wanted his money back and didn't want to fill out the form.
Re: Least favorite character
Damone is a piece of sheet . But cates character is a stuck up full of herself elitist cow . There were girls like that at every school .
Re: Least favorite character
Jefferson! Not Forrest Whitaker but the way he had to portray him. The big, dumb, strong athelete.
Re: Least favorite character
I gotta go with Ron Johnson. That dude was a total creep and asshole for doing the deed with an underage girl and then dropping her like a bag of cement right after he bangs her. The man was in his early twenties, so he should have known better than to be messing around with a still not legal teenage girl.
