Whats ur favorite fame song from the fame kids?

Well, i want to know what your favorite song is, well of course mine as to be "Starmaker" but i want to hear your replies with your favorite songs.

Re: Whats ur favorite fame song from the fame kids?

Gee theres so many ...
I loved 'I Still Believe In Me' sung by Erica in the 3rd Season (the 1st Season duet with Debbie was great too) ... 'Shadows and Light' sung by Valerie & Christie Houser (Season 3) ... 'Overnight Success' sung by Erica & Nia (Season 4)... 'Joyful Noise' by Loretta & Michael (in Season 6)... 'Back on the Savage Streets : Reprise' by Loretta (Season 5)...

I think Season 3 has alot of favourites, most likely because this is the Season I first started taping in the 80's and therefore used to watch over and over again ...

'What Would We Ever Do Without You' , City Lights (by Melissa Manchester) , "We're All The Same', 'You Drive Me Wild'(one of the few I liked with Cindy) , 'This is Showtime' , 'Starting At The End'

Re: Whats ur favorite fame song from the fame kids?

Life is a celebration - favourite song and dance sequence from the first series.

I still really like Starmaker - although the episode wasn't half as moving as I remember when I watched it as a kid.

Re: Whats ur favorite fame song from the fame kids?

Help me please....

my boss challenged me to find the name, artist and possible recording of a song written and performed by a student for what she thinks was debbies niece, it was a lullaby?

she used to sing this to her daughter, and now she has a new grand daughter and wants to sing to her as well....

What do you think?

Please advise...

Re: Whats ur favorite fame song from the fame kids?

Could you possibly be thinking of the song "Could We Be Magic Like You", which was performed by Bruno (Lee Curreri)? The lyrics to the song are available here: http://www.fameforever.net/series/lyrics-magic.php; perhaps your boss could confirm whether that is the song she's looking for based on the lyrics.

Re: Whats ur favorite fame song from the fame kids?

I'm almost finished with season 1 DVD so I only remember season 1 right now, watched it as a kid but have forgotten everything. So far I'm loving the Gimme Gimme, gotta have it song, don't know the name of it, in episode "A Musical Bridge". Secondly, loved the song in "The Sell-Out" in the music shop.

Re: Whats ur favorite fame song from the fame kids?

I love the song Debbie Allen sang with a costar. It was called Dance with Me or something like that. Any idea how to get a copy. I LOVE this song.

Re: Whats ur favorite fame song from the fame kids?

Dance With Me was on one of the Kids From Fame records..YES records..those big black things that came before CD's LOL. It was the second record and Debbie was listed as a solo..but back-up vocals on the record was Oren Waters. There were several Waters listed as back-up on the albums.
and My fav's were pretty much every song from Season #1 but esp Hi Fidelity..it was so upbeat and "pop"ish

Re: Whats ur favorite fame song from the fame kids?

I think it's Starmaker ..... because Michael Toma, who played the acting teacher, had to be written off the show because he was dying of cancer. The entire cast sang the song to him ..... even though the character wasn't dying of cancer (the character lost his job due to layoffs in the school)... the song just had a special meaning because you could see the compassion of the actors singing and you could just see what Michael Toma was feeling.

Re: Whats ur favorite fame song from the fame kids?

Two songs: "Desdemona" and "Hi-Fidelity" - I don't know if these were in the show or part of the Kids From Fame stage show

"Live long and prosper"

Re: Whats ur favorite fame song from the fame kids?

I heard "Desdemona" last night and now it's stuck in my brain. I don't like it THAT much LOL!

I like a lot of the songs. "Hi Fidelity" is my favorite right now.

"I prefer to remember things my own way ... not necessarily the way they happened."

Re: Whats ur favorite fame song from the fame kids?

They're definitley my favourite. And Be My Music which Bruno sings to the MS girl. I downloaded them from youtube, cnverted them and ripped the audio on movie maker. It works but takes a while

Re: Whats ur favorite fame song from the fame kids?

Desdemona, without a doubt. It’s head & shoulders above the rest, brilliant as many of them are.
The entire story of Othello told in 3½ hook-laden minutes – no mean feat…
…& with that whimsical flute interlude to add a bit of Elizabethan flavour, to boot; priceless!

What’s more, the versions that appear within the programme & on record are completely different recordings: the record’s version is much heavier, better produced & more polished – but they’re both fantastic!

Re: Whats ur favorite fame song from the fame kids?

I love "I Still Believe In Me" by Debbie Allen and Erica Gimpel from season 1. And "Mr. Cool" was a fun song in season 2 by Valerie Landsburg, Lori Singer and Connie Needham.

Penny Lane

Although I have not watched this series again since it was broadcast within East German TV show Elf99 in 1989-90, I can still remember the way a certain guy sang "Penny Lane". This character was not visually impressive -- rather a grey mouse --, but he won over everybody by the way he interpreted this Beatles song. Or that's how I remember it. It must have been in one of the earlier episodes because only the first 26 or so were shown in Germany.

Would any of you know what the character's and the actor's name is, and whether the actor was also the singer (or if there was overdubbing going on)? Is this interpretation of the song available separately? Thanks! -nu-

Re: Penny Lane

my fav. songs are "Desdemona","Saved by the Bell", and "I still believe in me"

"Godamnit, the sun does NOT spit!" - Doris

Re: Fave Fame Songs

Carnival, Mannequin and Desdemona

Re: Penny Lane

The actor you're on about is Jimmy Osmond. Donny Osmond's brother. The episode was the second episode in season 2. I loved that episode. Jimmy played the character Troy Phillips.

Re: Whats ur favorite fame song from the fame kids?

"I Still Believe in Me" has been bouncing in my head since I first heard it back in the 80s!! When I saw it again on DVD for the first time I was almost in tears because it was more beautiful than I remembered. I would love to get a recording of it...

The other performance that I loved then and now is Desdemona. The music, costumes, choreography, and make-up were so good!

To Soar

Re: Whats ur favorite fame song from the fame kids?

Without doubt, for a cast song, the best one is “The Best In You And Me” featuring Doris, Coco, Leroy and Danny. It just has that “Fame feel” to it, I think.
I was always a massive Danny fan (I’m still a massive Carlo Imperato fan!) and I have always loved his voice, so here goes, in prioritised order: “Bring Back the Fire”, “It Didn’t Work Out That Way” (with Doris), Danny’s version of “Songs”, “Don’t Throw Away Your Dreams” (trying to cheer up Jesse). I also liked “The Loser Gets to Win”, if you disregard Holly, and “Old Girlfriends”, if you disregard Chris, and “Reunion” with Nicole (they were quite good together). I always thought that Carlo was a great singer with a sexy voice but, admittedly, some songs were not for him; for example the horrific “Love Takes Time” (but I don’t think anybody could have done anything decent with that one) and “Come What May”.

Mine was Mr.Cool,I was 9 and I was watching and I couldn't get the song out of my head.I used to have it on cassette and I would play it over and over.

Re: Whats ur favorite fame song from the fame kids?

what ever the power song was called that was sung be Leroy in the first season when the power went out

Re: Whats ur favorite fame song from the fame kids?

Overnight Success sung by Nicole(Nia Peeples) & Coco as they dance. Nia never looked better than we she wore the purple leotard. She had great legs and a great ass!
