in the beginning by the telescope after he took his clothes?

He killed the other two, but once he got clothes I think he would go straight to finding Sarah.

I'm on the fence if he would leave a potential witness to alert others or simply not give a f/ck.

My main query about Arnie's terminator is why he doesn't come out and kill Sarah Conner at the car crash when the cops show up? Instead of completing his mission he does a bunk to fix up his eye.

He was gone a little too fast cause the po-po was not that far behind both of them and he was no where to be found shortly thereafter in a tunnel .

All true but he could've still taken Sarah out with a quick bullet to the brain and his job would have been done.

He had no issue going back to his motel room and stocking up on guns and then taking out an entire police station full of cops so there's little explanation as to why he wouldn't have just killed her then and there (Apart from to progress the story of course).

Hmmmh, that could actually be a plot hole now that I think about it.

Arnie did sustain some damage but you would think he could still just kill Sarah with his bare hands.

the state the terminator was in in the hotel room is the answer.

the terminator will have calculated its damage could prevent it successfully killing Sarah in front on Kyle and the cops who will no doubt have been opening fire on it.. (like only a 47% chance of successfully terminating her in his damaged state so better to try again when fully repaired).also maybe it might not have been immediately certain of all the damage to its systems and had to get away to run diagnostics etc to determine its damage as if it had tried to terminate sarah right then and then it could've found something not functioning correctly (and all the cops and kyle would've tried to prevent it too)

as for the last punk its possible it let him go once it had the clothes (and Bill Paxton punk would've been killed instantly by that throw into the wall like that)

Although he did kill the gunshop owner after he got what he needed

the owner said 'you cant do that' therefore showing resistance (also there was he likelihood the owner will have had a gun under the counter and shot the terminator in the face/back of head as it walked out the store with the weapons therefore causing it unnecessary skin damage before the terminator would put him down). but it looked like the punk was only too willing to let terminator have the clothes after witnessing the death of his friends so maybe he lived? (unless he was like 'oh no not my pants too man!')

Arnie also didn't kill the fat hick using the pay phone.

In the Predator franchise they only kill their targets or those who resist or point a weapon at them.

I'm thinking the Terminator makes a similar distinction when determining who and who not to kill.

I have both the Wisher/Frakes one from 1991 and the original 1984 version by Shaun Hutson.

in that one the last punk falls to his knees and starts praying to T800 then it twists his head the wrong way breaking his neck then removes the clothes lol

in both novels it states Paxpunk dies btw (in the hutson novel the terminator punches him in the face so hard it kills him)

those novels arent cannon there is no reason to think he would have killed the last punk if he gave him his clothes once he got what he wanted he would have left also the pax punk diddnt get hit in any way hard enough to die at most he was knocked out

thats a possibility but he could have been rushing like maybe needing to take cover get clothes fast i mean an split im trying to think how a machine would he might go by mission priorities an split to find sara
