Ben Powers : Wife? Children?

His Wikipedia page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Powers) is stating that he was married and had 4 children (including twins). It even gives DOBs for the children and states that his wife died in 2012. This is pretty interesting given that all of the obituaries fail to mention that he was survived by any children.


"Powers married Julia Harper (b. 1950 d. 2012) on May 4, 1981. They would have 4 daughters: Twins Maleah Cameron Powers and Raleah Cameron Powers (b. February 17, 1982); Augusta Valeria Powers, (b. April 20, 1984); and Simone Emerson Powers, (b. August 21, 1988)."

I believe that information is in reference to Ben Powers the football player. From my understanding Alton Powers never married, nor did he have children. He definitely kept his life private. I miss him.

It was listed on the page of Ben Powers the actor. I have a feeling it will be taken down soon. I was looking at the history of edits on the page and it was taken down before. The person who entered the information referenced a funeral home link (which is now a dead link). Wikipedia then took it down based on a National Enquirer article which stated that Ben was never married nor had any children. However the original poster made the argument that the National Enquirer is not a reliable. Wikipedia then put the information back up it will need to be referenced again.

I still believe that information is incorrect. I read on a message board, of a guy that lived in the same apartment homes that Ben lived in. He actually lived in the apartment above this gentleman. He stated that Ben lived alone. Also obituary records make no mention of a wife and children. It stated that he was survived by his mother,(who is probably quite old), two sisters, I believe it stated two aunts, two uncles, two nieces and four nephews. I've done a lot of research and the little bit of information that is available is quite conflicting.

Glad I'm not the only one still thinking of Ben. He was a very, very special human being. I love him dearly.
