Mackenzie Phillips : I don't believe the story about her father for a minute

All (well, so many) of these Hollywood people come up with the most far-out story to get some publicity. I would believe she did drugs with her father but to have sex with him for 10 years no ways. Come on !!!

No one would make that up.

I'd maybe believe her if she hadn't have waited until her father couldn't defend himself.

I think you underestimate the influence and control that a father would have over a daughter in that situation.

If you don't understand how it could happen or how it could continue for 10 years, then you wouldn't understand how she might not want to talk about it, even for a considerable period after his death.

I would've believed it if she had done it while Denny Doherty was alive because according to Denny's daughter he supposedly knew about it so why wait after Denny is dead to release the info when she could've done it while he was alive and could back up her story

This is how she made most of her income for 20+ years. Write a tell all book with shocking events in her life. Do the talk show circuit. Claim it's all for the *little people* who can't bring awareness to the masses.

When the checks for the book stop rolling in, start the process all over.

Her sister, Chynna, corroborated and supported her story on Oprah back in 2009.

What Chynna did not appreciate was the fall out that occurred after Mac "aired their family secret" to the general public.

Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful.

She told the world that as an adult, she willingly had sex with her father repeatedly and then wants everyone to see her as a victim. How freaky and pathetic. She's got to be one of the most horrible former actresses ever. And I mean ever!

I don't like blaming the "victim" but in this case I just can't wrap my head around the fact that a 19-year old woman let her father have sex with her for next 10 years
