So Rose suffers a heart attack and in the hospital surrounded by her daughter Kiersten, Dorothy, Sophia, and Blanche. BUTwhere the hell is Miles (Rose's boyfriend) during these 2 episodes???????

Perhaps he was already in the Witness Protection Program? I cannot recall when he went into that.

I also found it amusing that none of Rose's other children were even mentioned, never mind showed up or called.

But then to be fair, sitcoms in the '80s didn't care as much about 'realism' as some do today.
This is evident in the rather thorough ignoring of continuity in this series.

"Home Again Rose" is one of the worst episodes. Apart from the fake high school reunion. Blanche turns to Jesus instead of men? Yeah right. Kirsten is a huge b*tch for no apparent reason. The heads on ice. Not to mention, Rose had already had a "heart attack" in a previous episode. Ugh.

No, I don't. I've been known to engage in positive discussions about the show, but I never crap on it. Thus, I don't get the people who say they love the show but then constantly point out its shortcomings. That seems too negative to me, and I generally try to be a positive person.

it is a bad episode (i used to HATE everything about seasons 5-7) but as ive become
more forgiving/lowered my expectations, those heads on ice make me laugh. it's a far cry from the witty humor of earlier seasons, sure - but i think that's part of why i find it amusing. it's absurd :D

I agree, I don't like it either but that ice/head scene almost makes up for it!
I laugh so hard at that one LOL.

The final scene is well done too, when Rose walks in on Sophia in the kitchen.

Funny. I think I actually prefer the later seasons. I like this particular episode just fine, but I don't think it needed to be a two-parter.

Home Again Rose is a very random episode.a lot about it doesn't make sense LOL it's okay though, i don't hate it.
