Sofia mentions cooking eel tetrizinni in Sicily. Was this a joke? I immediately lost my appetite

Haha! It actually doesn't sound that bad to me! I eat eel all the time (unagi sushi). It's pretty good!

I think it's just a joke because I looked up Italian/Sicilian eel recipes and all that mostly came up was Golden Girls. Same with candied herring.

I don't think tetrizinni is even a known dish in Sicily. It was invented here in the United States. She was likely joking.

Nope, she said eels. Blanche is shocked by that and asks Sophia about it again and SOphia did indeed say EELS
