And no I'm not anti trans or a woman hater or racist against asians I just like my classic characters the way they are and have been for years not updated to please the PC culture

Let me get this straight. You enjoyed "Sherlock," in which the characters bear almost no resemblance to the characters in the original Sherlock Holmes stories. But you cannot accept a version where Watson is Asian and a woman or Ms. Hudson is trans because you like your "classic characters the way they are and have been for years."

There are those who don't like Benedict's Sherlock, & those who don't like Basil's Sherlock, etc. There's a reason there's different versions & re-tellings. Elementary is a modern, updated version. So yea some of the characters are women instead of men, & vice versa. Tv shows & movies have a tendency to do that to attract a different viewer.

Elementary is NOT Sherlock Holmes. It's an adaptation in the loosest sense possible. If you watch it from that perspective, it's a very enjoyable TV series. If you watch it with a stick up your arse complaining about how different it is from Canon, then you will hate it and have no one to blame but yourself.

If you suspect you're going to hate it then don't watch it; problem solved. Sherlock Holmes is one of the most -if not the most - adapted character in history; there is bound to be another adaptation out there you'll like.
