Garfield and Friends : Old VHS recordings and what networks give best reception?

Old VHS recordings and what networks give best reception?

I'd consider buying or trading for episodes I lost or have not seen. The rarest cartoons are episodes higher than the 180th cartoon. Did you ever get your hands on these videos and want to trade, sell or give away?

Old VHS recordings and what networks give best reception?

If 5 DVD volumes really can cover the entire series, do the math and you'll see that's impossible: There are 24 cartoons on volume 1(16 Garfield & 8 U.S. Acres)24 cartoons times five volumes equals 120 cartoons (80 Garfield & 40 U.S. Acres)
and the episode list (from tvtome.com w/o www.) has 360 cartoons (240 Garfield & 120 U.S. Acres). That means only a 1/3 of the show will be released on DVD. You should create another forum out of this issue.

Re: Old VHS recordings and what networks give best reception?

The 360 number comes from taking each individual cartoon. Bascially each 7 minute short would be considered an episode. They are counting episodes as being half-hour blocks as they appear on TV. So each "episode" would consist of 2 Garfield cartoons and 1 U.S. Acres.

There are {I believe} 121 half-hour episodes of the show. So the way it will work is that four sets will contain 24 episodes {each being 1/2 hour} and one set {probably the last} will contain 25 episodes.

As for the hard to find cartoons, those are scattered throughout the series and they are the ones that weren't picked up by syndication. In some cases they haven't been seen since the originl airing of the show on CBS in the late 80's through the mid 90's.

So don't worry, EVERY episode should be out and if you need more info I highly suggest checking out tvshowsondvd.com. They are very reliable and good for information ahead of time.
