My 600-lb Life : So I guess fat people are not jolly after all

So I guess fat people are not jolly after all

Looks like Kirsten's attitude improved with weight loss :)

Re: So I guess fat people are not jolly after all

I'm guessing opiates are the reason why. Her change is not making sense unless there's a chemical reason for it.

Re: So I guess fat people are not jolly after all

Ahh, opiates, makes sense. I wonder if she'll get her self together after seeing what an ass she made out if herself on tv?

So I guess fat people are not jolly after all

I wouldn't be surprised if she was going through withdrawals while they were filming which would explain some of her nastiness (not all of it because I think she's a rotten human being). I also wonder if she got the surgery because it would give her access to lots of pain medication (until she could find her next dealer). I read about a man who had his wife run over his foot with their car just to get pain meds. I just really loathed her. Very bad episode.

Re: So I guess fat people are not jolly after all

The great lengths people go through for their suppy! What a mess she was

Re: So I guess fat people are not jolly after all

She said she had been with her parents for ten months and had been clean the entire time so withdrawal would have been a thing of the past.

I think she was just being the way she was because it was "allowed" by her parents. Specifically her mother. She'd whine, carry on and act like a jerk and get what she wanted.

I don't really think she got surgery to get pain meds, but pain meds would most likely have been a part of her recovery and could have possibly reopened Pandora's box.

Even though she may have been clean from the drugs for a while, she was probably jonesing the entire time and used food as a substitute until she could find a new dealer or get pain meds from a doctor. This is just my opinion about it and I'm probably wrong, but people do strange things.

Re: So I guess fat people are not jolly after all

I have no doubt that drugs were on her mind, and she most likely did use food as a substitute. Even thought the physical withdrawals would have been gone she still would have been thinking about them, for sure. Sort of like quitting smoking. The physical symptoms are gone in a week, but then it's the brain game, constantly thinking about them.

I do give her credit for getting off of the drugs. Opiates are a terrible thing to withdraw from.

And yes, people definitely do strange things. LOL.

I'm a glutton for punishment because I'm watching this again. They seem to be leaving some things out like in the beginning when she wanted to go for a drive, but couldn't fit in the car. Anyway, in the first three minutes of the show (and all throughout so far), she keeps talking about pain, pain, pain. I'm sure she's in pain, but I really think she's looking for pain meds. Something about her isn't ringing true. She's being manipulative.

Re: So I guess fat people are not jolly after all

She's DEFINITELY being manipulative. She's one of the most manipulative people I've ever seen on this show, and the folks just give in. It's ridiculous.

I have no doubt that she's in pain. Super morbidly obese people like her often are in their joints. With that said, she may very well be whining as much to get some pain meds, but I don't know. She did stop using when she came to live with her folks, so I've got to give her credit for that, but anything's possible.

I agree with you, but she probably stopped using because she couldn't wobble outdoors to look for drugs. Ugh, she just said that her son is sabatoging her weight loss efforts. He seems like a smart, nice young man. He needs to get away from his mother.

ROFLMAO!!!!!

Hahaha. I laughed when her son said goodbye fatty two shoes. Hahahaha. I know that's mean, but she deserved it.

Re: So I guess fat people are not jolly after all

Her son did seem to be getting a little snotty when they first stayed in the apartment in Texas, but I wouldn't doubt that he was getting back at her for her not treating him very well. He's a kid, so of course he's going to do this. We only see one side of it, so it just looks like he's being a rotten kid, but as we very well know, a lot of times the children of these people are not only treated like slaves, but are ignored otherwise. She did treat him pretty badly in the scenes we saw.
