I do think there's a race problem at the Grammy's, but this.
Out of ALL of the racist things that happened over the last year, Beyonce losing AOTY to someone who subjectively had a better album causes the most outrage?

You and Rebel sound ridiculous. People are speaking out against the Grammys. Just because they are doing this doesn't mean this dismisses the issues going on here.


America is pretty divided right now. There have been record breaking protest going on a lot lately. To say more people are outraged about Beyonce than what's going on in the world is dumb as hell.

To people like Cherry, this is their whole WORLD. I mean, look at what's happening to our country, and he just cares about a frivolous grammy award and who's #1 on iTunes.

I know.. Under normal circumstances I'd feel sorry for him.

Why?

Everything HAS ALWAYS been racist. People are just not afraid to speak out about it now.
It goes back to the days of Ray Charles, Michael and Janet Jackson, with the recent victims Kanye, Franke and Kendrick openly speaking out about the flawed system. The issue is the Grammys dont have a problem using black talent for ratings, but when it comes to the MAJOR CATEGORIES (giving them Grammys in typically black categories is not what is up for discussion) white talent always prevails and the same old tired flawed excuses are made.

white talent doesn't *always* prevail. Black talent has come a long way and there is a long list of black talent who have Grammys.

Sadly, there is so much work to be done for Asian, Latina/o, Muslim, Gay, Trans, and countless others who never get any chances in the entertainment industry.

Thats the issue here though. Blacks are being grouped in with them when I speak about the racism.

The sad reality is that people of colour have to work 4x as hard to win the same award as a white person and that is just no ok.

Beyonce didn't deserve that award. She lost fairly. Ppl need to move on.
