Granted she was not my cup of tea lol. But she could have been their witness. So why did Crispen say to her that they wanted her to witness and then added, "besides Zee." Like did he on some level know the bitch was crazy? Or did he think that she wouldn't be believed? He did mention clean record.did Zee not have a clean record? Just curious why she couldn't be the lone witness.

I guess his girlfriend would be more convincing since, in theory, she would believe what she was saying. She could pass a lie detector as well. Zee was in on it. Plus, as you said, she probably had priors.

My take is that Crispian was lying to her. It was intended that she die as well after all, the killers made a very definite swipe for her at least twice before her return fire got severe. He's just saying she was supposed to survive because she's standing in front of him and totally capable of killing him at any moment.

You know I've watched this like 15x and I always believed crispian wanted his girlfriend to live. Now I'm not so sure. It was clear to me anyway that Zee wouldn't be a good witness, they set her up as the bad girl right away. The smoking and rudeness to the mom etc.

Of course he was lying so pathetic trying to save his life once he noticed, he "effed" up badly.

I would guess Zee has a record as long as my arm. She wouldn't be a good witness.

Hmmm I'd go with he was lying. Why would one of the killers outright go for her (with the axe)?. If the plan included keeping her alive, the killers were doing an awful job. Plus, her boyfriend (forget his name) didn't ask a word abour her to his brother on the phone, no interest in knowing if she was fine.

Then thogh, what would have been his motive for killing her?. He only needed his family dead to gte the money, they were not married. Do not see a motive. And she probably would have made a better witness than either of the brothers, who stood to gain a fortune, or Zee, who probably had a criminal record.

Simply, just because he's lying to Erin at that point in order to save his ass. Is it so obvious, isn't it? Erin stands there with the knife and killed two of his criminal fellows and was about his turn to be the dead guy so he just told any lie that save his ass. That's pretty nornal and nothing really to do with Zee's record or her role in their plan at all. If he told Erin, Zee is the girl who supposed to be a witness, than what role of Erin, very unnecessary, so he just tell a lie.

Because of her recordShe would not be considered a good or believable witness.. Crispin even says this.
