Does Anyone else feel that his death isn't getting the attention and,,,,

recognition he deserves. I mean he died early this morning and I didn't find out about it until this afternoon. Being the icon that he was I thought his death would be the top story on the net and news. But I'm hearing more about Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Tiger Woods, and Justin Bieber. It's a damn shame when a man who was beloved as he was and put on a series that hasn't been of the air in over 50 years and still going strong, his death is treated as the 8th, 9th, or 10th story in the media.

Re: Does Anyone else feel that his death isn't getting the attention and,,,,

Yea I agree with you there somewhat some networks/programs did give him a good bit of attention but you're right, he was number 9 in the stories of the media behind *beep* Tom Cruise and J Lo.

But I'm not sure what more there is to say. Most networks honored him with long clips, past interviews, and I think TV Land is even doing a full marathon of his show. I think he was honored appropriately. Still people should respect him this guy is a TV legend. People like him carved the path for television/movies today. It really annoys me when the old timers don't get respect anymore and people only care about (like you say) Justin Bieber who is a 18 year old punk.
