WWE Raw : Farewell.

I'm sticking around until the very end but this will be my last time I start a thread.

I just want to list the posters here who I thought added the most positive experiences:

yankees (Always had a positive and optimistic outlook, never bothered anyone)
Ore-Sama (Very knowledgeable and enjoyed seeing him put a stupid post down)
Nike316 (A long time poster and never caused problems or trolled.)
MaGuFu_Day (Pretty much a combination of Ore_Sama and Nike316)
and of course there's Emerald and MTN, who I'm already friends with on FB.
Enickma as well, for trying to keep a level head through it all, which wasn't easy sometimes.

and although I used to rag on PreachCaleb, I have no issue with you anymore. I don't always agree with your views but at least you're willing to properly discuss them instead of just trolling or being ignorant.

and my good friend Punisher_129. RIP buddy.

I know I'm not popular with a lot of posters because of my propensity to insult rather than discuss, but I still feel that the majority of the time those people deserved it. If you were anything like bladebrown, darkpearl, gavin, stephen, Rebuild_Reclaim or especially screamingtreefrogs I was going to be a pain in your ass. Sometimes I was mistaken (PreachCaleb and ares especially) but I like being wrong sometimes.


There were also many good posters who stopped coming here like Pompuss, Jack_Tyler, BBSY, NiceGuyJon and Stitches, and I know I've forgotten a lot of good posters.

I have been using this site since 2005 and it's been fun mostly. I doubt I'll be going to another forum because I largely avoid forums aside from this one.

I kept it civil, but took no guff. Don't know how I'm a combination of Nike and Ore (who I've both disagreed with at one time or another)?. I guess I didn't stand out too much, cause I wasn't so controversial (tho did get backlash on certain things). Tho I did have my issues with others.
-I think it was bbsy (or maybe b-wall) who didn't like my Best of the Decade threads
-Pompuss was irritated over my use of tag team monikers.

Emerald and I have have had many quarrels, to now where he's referred to me as a "brother".

I've missed his presence here, but I guess he wanted to keep some people in-line at the Impact forum (tho there wasn't many and still isn't). Really glad this forum has people like Preach and SpaceMarine. Especially in 2016, cause this forum was in a state of emergency with the amount of idiots here, that just wanted attention.

Burke (down to earth hip hop head) and GhostFace (replica belt collector) are other solid posters worth mentioning.

This all feels like a TV series coming to an end.

Autopsy, been a pleasure to see ya around these boards and plenty of others that you named. You guys stuck around awhile on here. Plenty of people who went away, from VenumPunk to Malfunkshun as well and few othersfarewell! Enickma, Great poster here, had our problems years ago. But oh well, much respect! TJ aka Rocky too was great poster. MGF, great poster as well, had some problems but always respected the guy, put his foot down. I do see ya as brother. On TNA board, Harlemsushi, ToP, Anblq and few others.


MGF: I think I left this board because it was dying my eyes, not the same people being there. You guys didn't post too much, there was really never a need to come back.


Happy trails to Money in the Bank, Kenton, Andyway1, weird pedophile guy, and Stephen Sterling. You fellas never recovered from your mental illnesses.

I'll miss this board. Been posting here for 11 years. I'm 25 now, so I was 14(!) when I created this account. Getting insulted on IMDb is like getting insulted by Don Rickles. It's a badge of honor. Can't believe we're getting shut down because people can't handle some anonymous trolling. Oh well. Guess my friends will have to just listen to more Brock Lesnar ranting since I can't come here with it.

I don't know Drebin, do we know the real reason for this closure?

Col Needham, IMDb's founder, has been answering questions about the message board's closure, and he did explicitly cite users' negative experiences getting trolled and insulted (and lack of adequate moderation) as a factor in the decision. Not the only factor, though, of course; he's also gone on about how outdated the board software is relative to the rest of the site, and that it's not worth updating, as it slows the rest of the site down and they'd like to shift to permanent info only.

Interesting. I would say that a large problem with this site was the moderation. I've said for years that the message boards here suffer from the absolute worst moderation that I've ever seen on a message board anywhere. I've seen people get banned here for totally harmless stuff and others stick around for years displaying a pattern of bad behavior.

It's a shame they were unwilling to fix the moderation problem because I feel like that would have solved a lot.

Correct, the worse moderation was IMDB boards. It was just like a game of tick tack toe.very random punishment and banning. Pretty sure people were pissed about getting banned for no reason at times too.

Something I've always wondered about some of you guys herewhat's the purpose of having two or more accounts? The notion of multiple accounts always sounded so strange and silly to me, unless it was for purely trolling purposes I guess.

Never understood why people make the quick assumption about a person having two accounts. I am guessing some people had no clue you could change your username.

Never crossed my mind to change my username, but that makes sense. At the same time, I'm convinced there have been people with two accounts at the same time over the years.

Yes, there was and they admitted it after they either left or moved on.

There have been tons. Most infamously there was money and his sock accounts.

Appreciate the shoutout, mrthursdaynight. I enjoyed your posts as well, not just for the in-ring perspective, but for staying on topic and having something interesting to say. Too often this board got bogged down by feuds and trolls and spam (the entertainment value of which evaporates fast), and it derailed a lot of discussions. Others you mention there did the same, and made the helped make the board a decent place to talk some wrasslin'.

I know me and you had some heat between us space marine but i wish you the best. It sucks that i just started posting here a month or so ago and now its getting shutdown. Oh well, what can you do? No hard feelings space marine or anyone else i argued with lol.
