Cynthia Davis : whatever happened to cynthia davis?

it's obvious she quit acting after "Cooley High", i would love to know what she's been up to for the last twenty eight years.

yes, I just saw "cooley high" last night with my family. I am a big fan of the film and its soundtrack. Motown inspired songs Four Tops "ill be there".. As a filmmaker I very impressed by the simplicity of alot of the shots.

I never saw this movie til now though I was 20 when it first came out. still, Cynthia Davis is, Oh-My-God!, Fine as a motor Scooter (that's a good thing)..Anymore news on her whereabouts? Something? A whiff?

Hello Cynthia thanks so much for replying to the message board. As you can see a lot of us remember you and still love you. I am a big fan of the movie and have always wondered what happened to the cast. I think because the movie is such a cultural classic that it has lasted through all of these generations. I am glad to know that you are doing well and maybe we can even see you on a television spot someday. It would be nice to see you again.

According to the documentary "Unsung Hollywood, Cooley High" (which I just seen on cable tv) on (channel) TV One, according to Michael Schultz, he says he heard ten years ago she (Cynthia Davis) has past away and he isn't sure of the circumstance (of how or what was the nature of her death). If this is so, it's very heart-felting of her passing away and also that she never made another movie beside Cooley High (1975). I found Cynthia Davis talented in the movie of Cooley High and she is so fine & so beautiful looking I wonder why she never play in other movies or why haven't movie studios sign her up to other parts or roles in movies? She is so fine, so beautiful & talented it hurt me so bad she only did or play in one film (Cooley High, 1975) then went into obscurity. I saw it when they showed it on TV One, but it was good to watch it again.

When I saw that the video was just over a half-hour long I wasn't too sure about watching it. But I am so glad that I did. It really gave a lot of behind-the-scenes info about the movie and the actors. Michael Schultz did sb68ay that he heard that Cynthia Davis had passed away 10 years earlier, but that's not proof enough for me.

Because of the extremely little information about her on IMDb and because she is so crazy pretty, I'm guessing she had LOTS and LOTS of admirers that may have been too much for her, so she ran full speed from the spotlight and tried to hide all traces of where she was and will ever be. That's just my guess.

In the video it says that Cynthia was a Chicago model at that time. Gloria Schultz (casting director) said that Cynthia looked older than she was, that she was very young. Maybe that's why they didn't show any T&A that AIP kept asking for. She was probably under 18 years old at the time the movie was made.

Anyhow, the bottom line is that Cynthia was a gorgeous girl and I really wish we had more movies of her to look back on. They really don't make 'em like that any more.

Well I'm glad to hear she is still alive but I got a question? Why haven't Cynthia Davis continue her acting career? Did she wasn't getting any calls for roles in plays, theaters, acting, doing commercials or movies?

All the nonsense in this board about her being a librarian in Georgia with three children - that was shown at the end of the movie when they're telling what happened to the characters. It was Brenda in the movie, not Cynthia Davis!
