Recommendations for other portmanteau films?
There's 'Dead of Night' from 1945. That's really good. And the Rodriguez/Tarantino double bill 'Grindhouse' of course.
Most of the Amicus ones like 'Dr. Terror's House of Horrors' and 'The House That Dripped Blood'. 'Asylum' is my favourite Amicus.
Here's a few others:
1. Creepshow
2. Tales from the Darkside: The Movie
3. Trilogy of Terror
4. Grim Prairie Tales
5. Kwaidan
6. Tales from the Hood
7. Waxworks (1924)
8. Cat's Eye
9. The Illustrated Man
10. Tales of Terror

Re: Recommendations for other portmanteau films?
Since you fellows seem to be knowledgeable about portmanteau films, I was wondering if you could assist me.
I am searching for another portmanteau that aired on TMC in the mid-90's, often just after Body Bags. The lead-in was a homeless man in a house reading stories from newspapers to someone we can't see. I don't remember all of the stories, but I know the first one involved a guy whose car broke down at night. he gets attacked by a dog, but manages to escape to a doctor's office. What the guy doesn't know is that it's a mental institution, and the patients have escaped, and are disguised as the staff.
At the end of the movie, it is revealed that the person that the homeless man has been talking to is a little boy. It was cheesy, but no more so than any of the other portmanteaus. I figured that the movie would be easy to find, but I have not been able to figure out the title, and it has bugged me for years.

Re: Recommendations for other portmanteau films?
Not exactly new but I liked Two Evil Eyes from Romero and Argento. Three stories based on Edgar Allan Poe's work:
