Apparently he jumped in front of a train. Doesn't say anything about it in the newspapers though.

He was depressed and apparently ended his life by jumping in front of a subway train. Not something that you will find in the papers Id imagine. Media says that he was found in his apartment but they made a massive blunder when they gave enough details to make it fairly easy to connect his death with reports of a jumper in the subway. For instance they interviewed a police officer that belonged to an entirely different precinct than where he lived and they also included an approximate time of death (5.30 PM).

Very sad news indeed. I hope he RIP and that his family find some healing in their grief for it seems Mr Bend5b4jelloul committed suicide and that's never an easy things for a family to absorb.

I've had the fortune to see his directorial debut, Searching for Sugarman, and he had the talent to go further. Also when I consider the man he documented, Rodriguez, and the latter's spiritual strength it makes me more sad for Malik.
