I hate that they are shutting down the boards. Know the reason is that people are using social media instead. But I am not on social media at all.

This really sucks! I'm not on any social media sites like Facebook or Twitter either and don't plan to be. This is where I come to discuss shows and movies and read other people's opinions and even make some friends. I've been here for over ten years!

I feel the same way. I like using IMDb more because we can have real conversations on here without having to deal with immature, annoying, 30 year olds with a 10 year olds brain and we don't have to go though hundreds of comments to find a post of ours or someone else's on here. We do not have to use social media for IMDb. So that way we can come on here without anyone knowing lol.

I read that it was a decision based on the negativity that the trolls are causing. Then IMDb is redirecting us to twitter and Facebook!! Those sites are so much worse and how will any conversations ever be found?

True story. I keep my distance on most Twitter topics, and I am not into other SM. the trolls here can be awful, but it's more avoidable than other social media!

I lurk on the teen mom reddit page. It's pretty good. I heard the Teen mom FB page is brutal, though. Never went on that one. I hear the fans on FB like to attack. Don't know that for sure, though. Just hearsay, I keep a wide berth from there.

TM Reddit has worked for me (I don't do FB). I like that it's more active then the IMDb boards have been, and it's moderated so unbridled nastiness is kept in check.

I agree, if there are any plans to migrate elsewhere I'd like to know as well. I've always enjoyed these boards and discussing shows with all of you.

I've been posting on IMDB for almost 10 years! Without message boards, why else would I come to this website?? It's a sad day :(

I just saw that today on the GH board. It definitely sucks! One of the few reasons I come to IMDB everyday is to look at the message boards. I love reading everyone's opinions on shows and movies and actors. I'm so mad now. lol although I do read comments on social media too, I prefer it here.

I know I like to read what other people are saying to. I also like to come on here for updates and to ask questions about whatever happened on a show I was watching that I didn't understand or missed.

Seriously so much better to discuss the show there, they have about 9,000 subscribers to the teen mom community, it sounds like a lot however, there's ever only about 300 users online at a time. There's so many threads made daily that get a lot of responses unlike here and the community is hilarious. It took me a while to get used to Reddit, about a week or so. Just type in Reddit teen mom 2 into google

The format for twitter and facebook is not the same.
Here is a site purely for reality shows, and it's easy to follow. Another thing, the format is exactly the same as this one. In that, you can post under Teen Moms and create other threads.

Yes. Hopefully we'll still be able to log into our accountants and look at previous posts even if we won't be able to post anymore. Or better yet I hope they change their minds or it's only temperoarily. :(

This royally sucks. While I don't use the board as much as I used to when I first registered in 2003! I do still regularly post..
I am guessing IMDB thinks the amoderation of the board is a hassle. On the other handThey are losing advertising revenue and what will be the point of the App after deleting the boards.

Yep there will be a LOT less users. I am still waiting to hear that it is some kind of joke and that the new person they got made a super wrong decision and is now fired. oh so we hope.

I've been apart of these boards for 17 years. Ill miss the great friends I've made here :( I just got my internet back today, and this was sad to discover.

I guess I'll try the Facebook page. I'm not really into Facebook though. I am on Twitter, but I have not talked about TM in a long time I used to post about it. JJ, you and Sempor (who has not been here in a while) were on my old Twitter. Sempor is on my current one. If anyone cares, it's @ViciaAmericana

Katiedidd, I just followed you on twitter. Sometimes I post political stuff, but I try not to go overboard with that. Mostly I post nostalgic stuff from the 90's or play the hashtag games when I am bored. Facebook, I keep private and only add people I know in real life, which is why I only have like 27 friends instead of 500. I am careful posting political stuff there because I do have family members that are conservative. This board I liked the most because it was mostly women and some men that did share a decorum of respect for each other. Was Sempor the one with the white tiger avatar? I remember the name. I am @JJandS on there if anyone wants to follow, let me know who you are so I can follow you back.

I don't think she has been on Twitter in quite a while either. There were some vicious TM posters on there, finding people's personal info. TROLLS! Not with me, thankfully. That's why I don't like to use my real name on social media and keep FB to a minimum. I know I won't end up trying to chat on there.
I'm an idiot on Twitter, so disclaimer if anyone sees it, haha. I can be seen retweet/making salty jokes and have my share of politcal stuff. No TM talk anymore. (My "claim to fame"I was Jenelle replying to me once, and she amazingly didn't block!) I just wish there was some great substitute for these boards, but SM outlets have taken over, making everything so disconnected. *sigh* Maybe something will come up!

Gosh, I remember Semper. Said she was an attorney in DC, IIRC. She was always nice to me, but, boy, did she start to flame posters here. I was shocked that a professional woman would behave like that. It was hard for me then to believe anything she said or to take her seriously. She was Puerto Rican, IIRC, married with kids.

Like most people on these boards, I've been posting on IMDb for years. Longer than I've had this account. It's more than posting just about TM2, it's all the different boards we interact on. Now we have to go to different platforms to discuss each and every show we watch and there's not as much community there. Going to different social media sites, like facebook and twitter makes it more about the show's feedback and less about the viewer's interacting with each other, which is the real reason why we're all here. This is so sad.
