The View : Trump blasts Nordstrom for dumping Ivanka

It was inevitable - the Tweet from Trump blasting Nordstrom for suspending their relationship with 'Ivanka Trump merchandise' last week. It took him a few days, but he got his words right so he knew what to say

My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by @Nordstrom. She is a great person always pushing me to do the right thing! Terrible!



I'm so glad he has all our nation's affairs in orders that he has time to attack Nordstrom on behalf of his daughter.

And don't forget, if she wasn't his daughter, he'd "probably be dating her!"

I don't blame him at all. They are going after his daughter to get to Trump.

It's simply beneath the office to have a sitting President involve himself with such matters. His continuing attention to things of this nature make him appear foolish, ignorant, and unfocused.
James, do you truly believe that Nordstrom dropped Ivanka's line simply "to get to" Trump? Good God man, do you really believe that if Ivanka's line was profitable for them that they would turn their backs on that?

I heard a caller on Rush Limbaugh today who reminded everyone of when an angry Harry Truman defended HIS daughter!

Couldn't believe that I forgot that story! It made the news back then. Margaret Truman performed a concert in Washington. Paul Hume of the Washington Post criticized her singing.

Well, Truman dashed off an angry letter to him. Part of it included, "Some day I hope to meet you. When that happens you'll need a new nose, a lot of beefsteak for black eyes, and perhaps a supporter below!"

Truman was a hero to the Democrats and he threatened bodily harm! Actually I don't have a problem with what he wrote. He was being a protective father. All Trump did was send a tweet. Can you imagine if, in this day of delicate feelings, he threatened to punch whoever made the decision at Nordstrom's? Yikes!!!

Though still standing by my previous comments on how I think it makes DJT appear, I'll now add that I think it was similarly foolish of Truman to have stooped to the same level. We all must realize though that there were those who found criticism with HT's comments at the time.
I do recognize the importance of those diligently keeping watch on both sides and those cognizant of historical fact and context!

I find it hilarious that whenever someone even dares to look at Ivanka sideways, Trump is quick to jump to her defense BUT if something negative is said on TV or in print about Melania, he seems to just leave her twisting in the wind

I guess we all know now who Trump really considers to be the "First Lady"

Last night one of the 'cable news shows' said their source at the WH reported he was doing this while they were trying to give him his 'security briefs' for the day. Instead of paying attention to the briefs, he was Tweeting about Nordstrom.

I hope those who voted for him feel safe today - from Nordstrom.
