The View : Sara: Lost in the shuffle?
Re: Sara: Lost in the shuffle?
Sara is definitely the weakest link. As I have posted multiple times on here, she looks down at her note cards constantly, and doesn't offer anything of substance. The only time she "perks" up and contributes to the conversation is when they are talking about fluff pieces, and she will throw in something to try to sound and look cute. She needs to find another "thing", because her "I'm so adorable and quirky and funny" shtick is old and tiresome, especially since she is nearing 40.
Re: Sara: Lost in the shuffle?
I actually liked her when she was "auditioning" for a spot. However, it was when the subjects and discussion were a little more lighthearted. However, I noticed that, specifically, during and after the presidential election, she just seemed lost. She seems like a nice woman, but that co-host position requires more than just being nice. Being a co-host requires one to be able to jump in, make a point and be able or at least make a good attempt to defend it. Just don't think that Sara has it in her to keep up.
Re: Sara: Lost in the shuffle?
I agree with both of you. Sarah seems like a nice woman but it seems like she doesn't have a very strong or thought out view on the topics.
Re: Sara: Lost in the shuffle?
As I've said before in another thread, Sara is out of her depth when it comes to certain subjects. She does seem to be a nice person (on the surface). She's better suited for an Access Hollywood/tabloid entertainment/homemaker type talk show.
Paula should really have her spot.
Paula should really have her spot.

Re: Sara: Lost in the shuffle?
I think Sara is very bright. She does offer her opinion, often at the start of a discussion. She speaks more quietly than the other woman and doesn't jump into the fray, but she's by no means a Candace. Much, much smarter.
Re: Sara: Lost in the shuffle?
ItsEddie, speaking of Paula, she wasn't on all week, so wondering if they've just silently phased her out. For awhile, Whoopi was off on Fridays, Joy moderated and Paula was there. And maybe because last week was their first time back for the new year and they had so much to talk about, they wanted Whoopi moderating all week. In any case, just think it's only a matter of time before Paula announces her exit to devote more time to her assignments at ABC.

^True, I agree with this.

Re: Sara: Lost in the shuffle?
I think Sarah will stick around because she excels at the celebrity interviews and fluff pieces. The rest are great at hot topics but get kind of awkward with the fluff segments
Re: Sara: Lost in the shuffle?
Sara seems like a nice person but she's weak on politics
Re: Sara: Lost in the shuffle?
I agree with all the above posts about Sara. I have always thought from the beginning she was wrong for the show. I am glad to see others see that too. I have nothing against her personally but her cute act is so annoying to me. She tries too hard to be cute and it's boring. I don't want cute, I just want opinionated and provocative and some actual knowledge on politics and serious topics.

Re: Sara: Lost in the shuffle?
Sara is like the hollywood reporter type she knows what the hollywood and tv and movie people are doing she should be on like E! network or entertainment tonight or something.
Re: Sara: Lost in the shuffle?
As soon as Sara is expunged from "The View" the next candidate for the chopping block will be introduced. I laugh when I see how frustrated posters are by the panel. There seems to be some wonderment at why it cannot stay static. As soon as a new panelist starts, the vultures start circling. With someone as fragile and "nice" as Sara, it doesn't take long for the feast to begin. Remember how beloved Sara was when she was pregnant and only a substitute? It took getting a permanent position for the ridicule to start. I'm thinking a focus on the topic might better serve everyone rather than a focus on who should be replaced next. Just a thought.
I probably shouldn't even remark anymore because try as I might daily, I can't keep the show on my screen. I'm not kidding, I try daily.

Not from me. I couldn't stand her even as a guest co-host, and I was disappointed when she was made permanent. Same with Sunny.

Re: Sara: Lost in the shuffle?
Why would someone be expected to be FUN at funerals?
Re: Sara: Lost in the shuffle?
My question A and thanks once again for coming to my defense.
Re: Sara: Lost in the shuffle?
Sara held forth today in leadership fashion. She opened the hour and spoke for several minutes. She did a great job.
