Face/Off : Ending was inappropriate

Ending was inappropriate

Just bringing home some kid to replace their dead son.

Re: Ending was inappropriate

Part of the theme of the movie was that both men realized how much they hurt the people around the other person when they were their usual selves. Castor realized how much Michael's death hurt Eve and Jamie while Sean realized that Sasha wanted nothing to do with Castor had hated what she had become and just wanted what was best for her son.

castor also realized how neglected romantically seans wife was after reading they hadn't made in love 2 months and obviously having problems, and castor in probably the only humane act he did was try to give the wife love (or at least sensual love). I thought it was very sweet how he brought out the candles and a perfect dinner, and clearly they had a great time in bed, everything the wife wanted from sean but hadn't been able to get from him.

as for the son, yeah perhaps he felt bad about killing his kid for a moment, but clearly he hadn't changed much and was more or less a total monster inside.

Re: Ending was inappropriate

Castor didn't kill his kid. He killed Archer's son accidentally while aiming for Archer. Castor didn't kill his own son. He killed Archer's son accidentally.

Re: Ending was inappropriate

It wasn't to replace their dead son. It was to honor Sacha's wish which was not to let Adam grow up in a criminal world and also because Archer wanted to provide a home to an orphan boy.

This is what I thought so as well. He made her a promise as she was dying.
