Buffy the Vampire Slayer : The Zeppo

I'm rewatching Buffy again. I just watched the Zeppo episode. I know it has been discussed on here but I wanted to ask people how they liked it. It was different having the focus be on Xander. And I know people on here don't really like Xander. I actually didn't mind it. It was kind of cool to see Buffy, etc. fighting this huge beast but not really being to in on the action.

It was a nice behind the scenes type of episode and really played on the story arch in a humorous way

I'm rewatching Buffy too and last night I watched Helpless and The Zeppo.

I like Xander and The Zeppo is a great episode. 9/10.

I love The Zeppo. One of my favorite comedy shows. It's a nice character study on Xander and satirizes the typicaly Buffy/Angle/Apocalypse format.

I enjoyed "The Zeppo" a lot. And I was happy to have an episode that was Xander-centric. Personally, I generally like Xander my problem with the character is how his loyalties would turn on a dime episode after episode he shows devotion to Buffy, even to the point of risking his life, then he turns around and does something really hurtful to her and without a lick of remorse or soul-searching. It doesn't seem realistic to me and, if it is realistic, he's not really much of a friend. And then there was the whole thing with Anya . . . . But when he's not stabbing a friend in the back, he was funny, sarcastic, and caring.

"The Zeppo" is an example of why I enjoy the show just for the characters alone. They could be entertaining even with their lack of contribution, and still maintain some dignity in the end. I sure didn't think of it as a throwaway episode, even though Xander was at the forefront.

I liked it and thought it was one of the best episodes of Season 3. Some people hate it 'cause it is a Xander focused episode and don't like Xander but I liked that it focused on a different character for a change and showed what it was like to be one of Buffy's friends and live in Sunnydale.
