Buffy the Vampire Slayer : Characters That Deserved More Episodes in this Show

My "wishlist":

1) Glory

I know, she was a Big Bad of season 5 and she should've been destroyed but she was so cool. I even think that Dark Willow & Illyria would not even exist without Glory. Always wanted to see her comeback. Yes, I was very naive

2) Jenny Calendar

This woman didn't deserve such an awful death. She was one of my favorite characters in season 2

3) Kendra

It was a crime!!! She was interesting, cool, beautiful, strong. Her personality was a bit "artificial", that's why I needed a good, emotional development for her

4) Darla

She's my favorite vampire in the Buffy/Angel series. She had a decent development in Angel but she deserved much more in Buffy

He was a very original idea, not a living doll which is done in every horror anthology but an actually "good guy" in the form of a ventriloquist dummy.

All of them were on the cusp of kinda figuring things out and piecing together what was actually going on.

Mr Summers and Finch could have helped Buffy so she did not end up broke.

Definitely would have liked more Amy.

Dru and Ethan Rayne would have returned for more episodes if the show would have run for longer.

Really liked Willy the snitch and would have liked to seen more of him. That actor is just awesome at playing this type of character. He also does on the show Becker. Sadly ever since his career seems to have tanked.

Kendra, I would have liked to see her transformed into a vampire and continue being a recurring character, now of completely different kind. The original character though was a geek with limited social skills, so she really wasnt that interesting. Fun fact: the actress herself hardly seems to age either, so she would have been ideal for a vampire.

More Darla wasnt possible for obvious reasons. The Darla arc on Angel is one of the highlights of that show and after that the character was gone. Her return was already pretty forced. But then again Julie Benz is an awesome actress.

Glory was extremely well done, but the character herself had completely outlived her welcome. Same for the Master.

Jenny Calendar and Luke both have been excellently done, but both got awesome endings, too. Jenny was especially a loss because she and Giles are IMHO the best romance on BtVS. I really would have loved to see a lot more of those two. But Jennys death is the most awesome in the Buffyverse. Well OK the death scene itself wasnt so impressive, but the whole episode was.

All the rest mentioned here, I dont want to list every single one, but I dont think any of them would have been really that interesting. I mean for example Olivia she gets like three lines, three scenes and three episodes. We really dont get to know her at all. And she doesnt appear to be very interesting. Not even remotely compareable to Jenny.

You're absolutely right about Darla, Jenny and Glory. Sometimes I'm too romantic and wanna see my fave characters in every episode

It was? Where did you hear that? I am kinda glad they didn't go through with it 'cause I couldn't have seen Jenny lasting passed Season 3 and even though they wrote Oz off in Season 4 I think his character was more interesting and had better storylines than Jenny with him being a werewolf and all and I would have liked to have seen him return in the final season for at least one episode.

Not according to the interview with Joss I heard about this issue.

Joss said he had to kill either Jenny or Oz, but he descided it had to be Jenny, because Oz would be less of an impact.

So at no point it was descided that Oz would die he was just considered as well.

My favorite recurring character has always been Ethan. The episodes with him were always fun because you never knew what was going to happen.

I thought we had enough Glory and Darla but definitely Jenny and Kendra to which I'd add Amy and Devon

If we had more Kendra we would have less Faith.

Not necessarily, she could have returned for a few more eps in s2 and in flashback.
