How is racism fake? I'm not saying that it's not justified or truthful, but not fake.

There's a lot of racism in this movie but I've always maintained this is not a racist movie. I had this debate with a mate recently who was adamant that it is, my point was that whilst there's a lot of racial slurs and racism is the focus of the film the message of the film isn't that racism is a good thing, it's the polar opposite. Danny realises that harbouring this unfounded hatred is destroying his life, and obviously there's the ending where he's convinced his brother to change his ways too, only to get killed in revenge for his previous actions.

Yes. Someone finally said it. Everyone is "racist". A few, the dangerous few, are bigoted. There is a difference.





Life is tough, but it's tougher when you're stupid.
