Imdb is discontinuing these message boards on Feb 20th.

Aw, this is bullsh!t. Why the hell would they do this? These boards are a great way to share information and opinions.

I'll have to dig up my dugpa ID and password I guess.

That RT link lead me right the the MFAP "waiting room" by all appearances.

RT has had some really great threads in the past. I guess that fell out of favor there too?

Well, I'll roam AOL, dugpa, RT and a couple of others to fill the IMDb void . . . .

I was really looking forward to see the discussion of the new season as it unfolds.
What a shame.

As was I.

For my part, I'm going to dust off my old AOL account and go back to the largely deserted chat room section still available.

Back in the day, there was a fairly active Twin Peaks chat room, great fans and great convo from what I remember.

Yeah . . . so I'll go there after Imdb shuts the door here and resurrect that room.

Then sit around and listen to the crickets.

Isn't Discord the cool hip thing for themed group chats nowadays? I have it but never really used it. But I'm seeing lots of people migrate there from Skype and the occasional "I'm opening a $fandom channel!"

The fb page doesn't seem too friendly to the merely curious, and I can't imagine the other media able to provide a similar environment. Likely to cut down on traffic to the reference sections as well, since one can often find the same info at places like wikipedia. Odd decision.

A real buzz kill heading into the first TP's after 25 years.

I definitely won't frequent IMDb as often as I typically do after this, no reason to . . .

Goodbye IMDB. The message boards were the only reason why I came to this site. Won't be coming back after February 19th.
