I have to agree with you. This movie was a piece of crap, worth of nothing, really. Everything there could've been portrayed much more gracefully, intimately and excitedly. I don't know about you but in my opinion this movie lacked everything - plot, reasonability, continuity, great dialogues Just crashing cars and PLANES (wtf) to make it a Hollywood flop.
I myself missed the motive for most of the things that were done in this movie. By the characters, but also by the crew, the moviemakers. Why would you portray a book, that's obviously pretty good (compared to the movie) like this?
1 out of 10 for me, and for god's sakes go and watch The River Wild!

Coincidentally, I just watched "The River Wild" a few weeks ago, and I was thinking the same thing. This film started out good, but it quickly became implausible. The plane scene was cool, though.

Having said that if it's just about Charlize Theron then, Christ where do you begin. She's much hotter in Devil's Advocate, Two Days in the Valley, Head in the Clouds, the list goes on.
