The runaway torpedo scene

I remember when I first saw this film when it was new, there was a scene where a torpedo starts running while still in the torpedo room. They had to load it into a tube and fire it quickly before it could arm itself, or it would detonate magnetically inside the sub.

Actually, that was pretty much the only thing I could remember from the film until I decided to rewatch it on Netflix just now.

So I watched it on Netflix... and the scene wasn't there. I knew it had to be from the same film, I even checked a script I found online to verify that I had remembered the scene correctly. But even though IMDb, DVDs on Amazon and Netflix all have the film at 105 minutes, the scene -- and all dialogue referring to it --is missing on Netflix. That's got to be at least 8 minutes worth. Anyone know why the scene was cut, how the run times still add up, and/or whether I can find an uncut version somewhere?
