One reason given for shutting the boards down was that "everything and everyone is on social media now". I don't have facebook, but I do have a twitter account (it's @Aspen_Bell) and people are welcome to connect with me there.

This group is not intended to replace IMDb with facebook, this is just a forum (made quickly with the convenience of Facebook groups) in which to discuss alternative's to IMDB in the interim, until a suitable website does take over from where IMDb message boards leave off.

I am still in deep shock. Can anything replace the IMDb discussion boards? I feel like someone has told me the Flying Spaghetti Monster does not exist.
