Re: The girl said "Christopher" too often
.And was there some sort of correlation between her firm, taut body and the amount of times she said her brother's name?

Re: The girl said "Christopher" too often
I don't think there was a correlation. I was just pointing out a positive after posting a negative to balance things out.

Re: The girl said 'Christopher' too often
Actually I think it made it more realistic. I have three kids and they often say each other's names if they are annoyed. Funny thing is when they were younger they all slept talked too. You would hear one of them asleep suddenly yell one of the others names. It scared me to death the first time but after awhile it was funny.
Re: The girl said "Christopher" too often
Why say it so often?
The script has to be the weakest thing about this semi-abortion of a movie. The acting is as good as the cast can manage with the script they were handed, which veers between R-rated soap opera dialogue ("God damn you to hell, Momma; if Corey dies you'll pay for it. I promise you I will find a way!") to Catherine's incessant repetition of her brother's name (do try to remember that most of the time we actors have to speak the words the writers present us with). The entire movie is hobbled by this kind of purple dialogue, dialogue which, I might add, is not present in VC Andrews's novels.
Oh God. There's nothing more inconvenient than an old queen with a head cold!
Re: The girl said 'Christopher' too often
Lol I noticed it too. She never called him Chris or anything like thatit was always Christopher.
Re: The girl said 'Christopher' too often
She did call him Chris a few times. In the bathroom when they're arguing about their mother after they'd been sneaking around downstairs; towards the end where he attacks the grandmother, and the voice-over narration by Claire C. Peck as the adult Cathy also refers to him as Chris.
Re: The girl said 'Christopher' too often
Okay. I must have missed that.
Re: The girl said 'Christopher' too often
Well, like I said, it was just a few times, at least in the theatrical version. (I just realized she called him Chris in that horrible studio-inserted ending, just before they go in to stop the wedding). If the original cut is ever released, it could remedy that.
