Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones : Anakin compelled Padme to love him
Re: Anakin compelled Padme to love him
That would explain why she went directly from being creeped out by him, to being in love with him!

Re: Anakin compelled Padme to love him
They were destined to be together by the force, why else would Anakin be dreaming about Padme almost every night for 10 years if he didn't know her for too long in Phantom Menace? Visions from the future of being with her.
Re: Anakin compelled Padme to love him
Right... Anakin knew Padme for like a maximum 1-2 weeks during the events of Phantom Menace, yet he dreams about her everyday for 10 years, while leaving his mother in slavery on Tatooine. It's just so stupid and poorly written.
When Anakin was training as a Jedi on Coruscant, with Obi-Wan, he would have seen many beautiful women that he was attracted to, so it's very unlikely he would have dreamed about Padme, who he barely knew for 2 weeks--and through the eyes of the 8/9 year old boy he was, for ten years after.
Of course we can always use the force as an excuse, just like Leia knowing her mother when she was "very young", obviously she didn't know her mother at all--but the force gave her memories, of "very sad" "beautiful" blah blah blah. So Anakin loved Padme because the force directed him to. Very sloppy but it does work from a certain point of view.
A certain point of view? Exactly.

Re: Anakin compelled Padme to love him
You know, if he really had been dreaming about the girl he saw when he was 9 years old, his first thought on seeing her again should have been:
"You're so short!".
“Seventy-seven courses and a regicide, never a wedding like it!

Re: Anakin compelled Padme to love him
So basically, he's forcing (no pun intended) her to be with him against her will... um, yeah, so he's raping her, both mentally and physically. This isn't helping with the existing problem of teen/adult Anakin being a psychotic a-hole with little, if any, redeeming qualities.
Re: Anakin compelled Padme to love him
I have never seen it as Anakin compelling Padme to fall for him. Its a good theory though.
Re: Anakin compelled Padme to love him
"Before the first kiss he even waves his hand"
Makes perfect sense to me.
Makes perfect sense to me.
Anakin compelled Padme to love him
Might not be true but it makes it a whole hell of a lot more fun to watch
