Saturday Night Live : SNL Liberals are unhinged. But Trump is President and Hillary cries all

I love liberals' whining and flailing at SNL.

Hillary lost. So happy.
And Trump is president.

I can't believe some people still try to deny that SNL leans to the left. I bet most of the cast would not only admit that, they would be proud to admit it.

Yes, they have aimed some jokes at the left. But the tone of jokes aimed at Trump obviously come from a completely different place. I know Trump lends himself to humor more so than Obama. But the judge in the People's Court segment, she seemed to be genuinely preaching at Trump and what he's doing wrong. There's a lot of malice in the jokes directed at the right, and they'll include a joke directed at the left if they think it is funny. Some of the anti-Trump stuff aren't even jokes, they're just statements.

I don't really mind all this, because I know I'm tuning into a left wing show when I watch it. But at times it gets to be a little much.

Figured I would get that off my chest before they close down the boards later this week.

Who is denying it? And why would they?

Good comedy/satire is many times a mirror of the subject. If the subject is mean-spirited, the sketches will be written that way.

Was it terrible when they lampooned Palin for being an ambitious airhead? Nope, because she came across in her interviews during that time as an ambitious airhead.

Writers take what they're given.

SNL just isn't funny. Weekend Updated is a joke and not in the way they meant it to be. It's not even funny, just a 10 minute b*tch fest about Trump. Literally, there's no jokes, it's just complain, complain, complain. And Michael Che even said on air he wished Trump dead in 2 years. Hello, Secret Service.

I don't find Baldwin at all funny as Trump. His impersonation is awful. It's stale and predictable. McCarthy is funny as Spicer, but if it's one thing SNL knows how to do, it's run a good thing into the ground. We'll be sick of her by the end of the season.

It was hilarious. Melissa McCarthy and Baldwin both were brilliant. I look forward to every new episode.

So did Obama, but SNL literally kissed his ass for 8+ years. And if anyone on WU EVER said that Obama would have been dead in 2 years, they'll literally have Hell to pay.

An Alec Baldwin opening monologue is coming to mind- probably the first one after Baldwin's divorce from Kim Basinger- where he's joined by Bill Clinton (played by Darrell Hammond) who's now the husband of the junior U.S. Senator from New York. Someone uttered the words "there's a lot of things we're not gonna tell her about".

And don't get me started on how SNL portrayed a certain late 90's scandal.

The whole joke was centered around how old Trump is and how unhealthy this job is for him. Che never said he wished Trump would die, he said he thinks the job will kill him.
And in terms of flamboyant, temperamental personality, Trump is a gift to comedy compared to Obama. Now if you want to talk policies, which SNL usually stays away from policy since most of it never blew up to melodramatic proportions or tweets. Obama on any comedy program has been difficult to spoof, with the exception of Key and Peele's Angry Translator.

So ironic that right wingers call liberals "whiny" but all they do is come on here and WHINE about liberals. Saturday Night Live rips on Trump because he makes it so easy. He embarrasses himself daily especially with his Twitter rants. Whiny crybabies whining about the ultimate whiny crybaby on message boards about a COMEDY show.
