Heaven Can Wait : Jack Warden

Jack Warden gave an excellent performance in this movie.

Jack Warden turned in one of the best performances of his career in this film which deservedly earned him an Oscar nomination.

I couldn't agree more. I thought he was robbed of an Oscar for Shampoo, but he was just as good here.

OMG I loved him in this movie and I cried in the end when Warren Beaty left him there holding the clarinet! That's the only part of the movie I didn't like. Why couldn't Warren still be Joe??? I loved Joe! Anyhoo, the whole cast was amazing. What a great movie

Yeah, that scene where Max realizes that Joe isn't Joe anymore is really, really sad. Probably what got him the Oscar nomination.

I think everyone was pretty well cast in this film, from Dyan Cannon to James Mason but IMO the one who steals the show whenever he is on the screen is Jack Warden.

Absolutely, without a doubt, an outstanding performance.
