Sadly Funny Scene When Aileen Announces to Selby She's Quit Hooking

Selby being pragmatic wonders how will they live without money. Aileen says no problem, I will become a veterinarian and says "I love animals."

He killed sixteen Czechoslovakians. Guy was an interior decorator.

One of the things I wondered about if they had that much drug, alcohol and mental problems you would think they could have gotten on SSI disability. I've known many people who are on SSI because they claim to be 'mental' and they certainly aren't as bad off as Aileen that they would have killed someone. I'm not really sure how they got approved, though. I think a few had a lawyer and then others got it on their own.

Yes, most of the people I know were on SSI (Supplemental Security Income), not SSDI because they worked very little or not at all. That's why I mentioned that they should have tried for SSI.

One I know got approved for SSI on her first attempt. She simply went to Social Security and said she had a mental breakdown, Social Security sent her to one of their psychologist and she got approved on her first attempt. She said that was the one and only therapist she had been to and this was over 20 years ago. She told me her friend was getting SSI as well. They were both around 30 at the time. I don't know how she got approved that quickly when some people are seriously ill and they keep getting denied. If I'm not mistaken she was getting around $700 a month and was able to rent her own place.

It is suspicious because I've known people who have cancer and they kept getting denied. A former employer was HIV and had stomach cancer, and he never did get approved. He eventually died. I've since heard this happens to many people. Some said their family member finally got approved three months after the person died. Somehow that doesn't surprise me.

I've been trying for nearly two years. I attempted suicide before but in this second round I didn't tell them this because I knew they already knew it. The first time I applied 15 years ago it was SSI and this time it's a combo of SSDI and SSi. I don't really know how my friend got approved that easily with no medical history of mental problems. I think she did drink and smoke weed, but I don't think that would have helped her case.

I did wonder why she didn’t get on welfare.
