Penitentiary : Leon Isaac Kennedy

Leon Isaac Kennedy

Lone Wolf McQuade was the best movie LIK ever did. What happened to his career? The Penitentiary movies are pretty entertaining and he did get to marry Jayne Kennedy for awhilebut, why couldn't this guy make it bigger and don't say it's because he found God and became a preacher.

Re: Leon Isaac Kennedy

Beats me.

Re: Leon Isaac Kennedy

I was wondering myself whatever happened to him?

Re: Leon Isaac Kennedy

The answers are always the shortest. In short he couldn't act!

That is all. Carry on.

Re: Leon Isaac Kennedy

I know I'm late to postbut dam you are right..He couldn't act to save his life !!!

That's WHY Ernie Hudson has starred in sooooooooo much, he kept saying "Sucka" and was cool doing it.

Re: Leon Isaac Kennedy

Poor career choices mostly, a stupid agent, and making films produced by Golan-Globus, who were known to make cheap movies. Leon's first movie, "Penitentiary" was a hit, very well received by the public, and even critics. He could have gone anywhere from there. But he chose to appear in "Penitentiary II," which was a complete failure because it was so awful. Then he starred in (and wrote) "Body & Soul," which was a tacky 'vanity piece' that was also terrible. I bet a more competent agent would have gotten him roles in some better movies, and he would have had a longer career. He wasn't the best actor, but he was great looking, and extremely athletic too; he always looked really impressive in the boxing ring. It is not easy to keep on top in that business, I guess. People come and go so quickly. Remember Taylor Lautner, from those "Twilight" movies? He was huge, then he seemed to vanish overnight.. At least we will always have "Penitentiary," one of the best independent movies of all time..
