Teen Mom 2 : ' I'm the first girl of the whole franchise to graduate college. '
Re: ' I'm the first girl of the whole franchise to graduate college. '
She really should fact check her statements. I think others have been to community college too
Re: ' I'm the first girl of the whole franchise to graduate college. '
I thought she said to graduate college with a bachelors degree?
Re: ' I'm the first girl of the whole franchise to graduate college. '
She probably meant from the Teen Mom franchise, not including 16 and pregnant.
She also changed her major a few times, remember when she wanted to a dentist??
And who cares how long it took her? At least she finished!

Id have loved to see Izabella and Heiro on Teen Mom. Had they been picked for TM3, I don't think it would have been cancelled. They picked a bad batch. There were way more interesting cast then who they picked. Mackenzie and the rodeo clown could have stayed, they were entertaining but they should have added in Jennifer with the crazy a$$ boyfriend, Josh, that twin Jessica who was engaged to her military fianc Brian and she had a twin (Jordan?) who was super jealous. That would have made good episodes.
Re: ' I'm the first girl of the whole franchise to graduate college. '
I'd have loved to have seen each of the girls you listed. Izabella was one of my favorites, and also one of the youngest. She was only 14 when she got pregnant the first time, so she finished a lot of her goals in an impressive time. Guess it helps to come from money.
However, Jordan (she was the mom, Jessica was the twin, who now has a little girl), Jennifer, and Izabella were from season 3, while Mackenzie (she's actually from a town 45 minutes from me), was on season 4.
Jordan got pregnant so soon after her episode that they told her she wouldn't ever be on Teen Mom. Unfortunately. Because she was one who fell into the statistic of however many moms have a second within however many years. It would've been an interesting storyline to watch.

I didn't know Izabella was that young! I thought she was 16-17 ish. Wow, they told Jordan that? She did get pregnant again almosf right after that first baby. I wonder if she and Brian are still together. Oh another reason why she probably wasn't picked was, If I remember correctly she would have been living on an Army base with Brian and filming wasn't allowed. At least that's what I heard too.
Re: ' I'm the first girl of the whole franchise to graduate college. '
Yea, she was the second youngest! Such a baby, even though she's like 2 years older than me (I don't have kids!!) but she appears to be a good mom.
That's what I heard. Her kids are only 15-16 months apart, and her son was the oldest on the season. If I remember correctly, she was actually pregnant on their reunion show.
I don't believe they are. But I've heard both ways, and can't really tell based on her instagram. I also don't look very often, and am really going by rumors for that one!

Ok, I just watched that scene and she said "Dr. Drew said I'll be the only girl in the whole franchise that graduated with a four year degree.".
Re: ' I'm the first girl of the whole franchise to graduate college. '
Yes, Dr. Drew told her that at the finale special. I'm confused, thoughdoesn't Maci have a degree?
Is Kailyn really the only mom to graduate with a four year degree?
Geronimo

Re: ' I'm the first girl of the whole franchise to graduate college. '
So confused about Maci's degree. As there's so much speculation, I assume she has an associate's degree only. The OP asked why it took Kailyn so long to get a degree, as if that matters.
Re: ' I'm the first girl of the whole franchise to graduate college. '
I give her credit but she's kind of annoying about it
Re: ' I'm the first girl of the whole franchise to graduate college. '
I remember when Dr. Drew said that to her when did she say it, yeah it would be annoying, and I didn't know Izabella graduated from college good for her, no great!
Re: ' I'm the first girl of the whole franchise to graduate college. '
Seven years to gratuate is still impressive considering she had a child before high school gradution, a relocation to another state with a new husband and new child. I'm sure all were factors in it taking almost twice as long, not to mention switching majors more than once.
I'm trying to think of that stat Dr. Drew gave years ago about the odds of graduating college by age 30 when a teen mother. It was very low. "Non-traditional" students are very common for young parents, and I'm impressed Kailyn stuck with it.

Re: ' I'm the first girl of the whole franchise to graduate college. '
Yeah they say the majority of college students don't graduate in four years so there's nothing strange about it. People work, go part time, change majors, transfer schools, take time off, etc all the time. It's great that she finished and graduated. Even after Teen Mom ends she will always have her degree.
Re: ' I'm the first girl of the whole franchise to graduate college. '
You're so right. The "non-traditional student" has become the traditional one. It happened with me. With some of the other girls from this franchise living in the moment with TM money, it's nice to see Kailyn remain focused on school.
Re: ' I'm the first girl of the whole franchise to graduate college. '
It's great she graduated but most people who take more than 4 years to finish college had issues that prevented them from doing it. Such as lack of money, lack of time because of having to work, medical problems etc. Kailyn had none of these. She's had nothing but time and money for the past 7 years. Also college isn't for everyone regardless of circumstance so she can get off her high horse at anytime.

Plus why did it take her almost 7 years to graduate?!
