Ushpizin : purchase DVD copy of Ushpizin

We have a PAL copy of Ushpizin and can not watch it on our DVD player (in the US).
Please help us find a copy we can watch in the US!!

i dont think they released an NTSC version.
you should get a region-free dvd player or try watching the movie on your computer (in case you have a dvd drive).

Yes, a region free DVD player can be purchased everywhere now, and for relatively very little money. The prices have dropped substantially. ebay has a lot of vendors and can get one to you within days. It is really the ONLY way to go these days so you can watch films from anywhere. As already stated, most DVD players in newer computers, notebooks included, are region free!

it is not sold in the usa most of the copies floating around are in pal format from israel where it is sold on the internet & I guess in stores. an all areas dvd player costs $68.00 delivered from ebay

One word of advice regarding this DVD. On the box it says that the DVD is 16:9 widescreen. It isn't, it's 4:3 Letterbox. The DD 5.1 surround sound remix is not the best, and, in my opinion, they should have stuck to the original Dolby Digital 2.0 soundtrack. I can only hope that when the European R2 comes out that is is anamorphic widescreen and that the soundtrack mix is better.

Personally, I can't understand why the Israeli DVD is NOT anamorphic, especially seeing as the films original aspect ratio is 16:9. What a stupid mistake by the production company.

Picturehouse and New Line Home Entertainment is releasing the U.S. Region 1 version on DVD. It is coming out on April 4, 2006.

I saw the movie for rental at BlockBuster. I'll pick it up next time to see how it is. Looks like a good flick.
