Re: Lucas Douglas
Lucas and Tritter. A toss up to which one was worse.
Re: Lucas Douglas
At least Tritter gave a big fight.
Sure i hate him as much as i hatted Lucas i don't know who was creepier and more easy to hate, but Tritter as much i hated him, his arc had an impact. Lucas was bland.

Re: Lucas Douglas
Lucas was bland but a creepy bland . He also tripped House like Tritter did . I don't get much out of that except disgust . Well Cuddy did it too. I don't know why that was something they kept doing .
Re: Lucas Douglas
Lucas was an idiot who was never a real threat so when he left he meant nothing. Tritter made some damage who could have gotten House in jail for a long time if it wasn't for Cuddy's perjury who latter got him in jail at the end of season 7.
Re: Lucas Douglas
Wow why do you guys hate him so much? He seems like fun.
But I am only at the beginning of season six, so maybe I dont know something

Re: Lucas Douglas
He's not too bad in season five though I didn't think he was needed. He is in a handful of episodes in season six and isn't the goofy character he was in the previous season.
Re: Lucas Douglas
I didn't like him S5. It felt like he was brought in to be a replacement for Wilson. He was an annoying jerk and I felt he was on the creepy side at that point. I think it RSL really wanted off the show, they would've found a reason to keep Lucas on the show. Thank goodness that never happened.
The only thing that made sense about his character or either of his arcs is that he became a House substitute for Cuddy. He was the only man (other than House) who showed any interest in her throughout the series. So it made sense that as soon as House was out of the picture when he went to Mayfield, Cuddy found some lame excuse to call him.
As i recall it was because someone was stealing cans of tomatoes from the cafeteria, so she needed to hire a private detective to set up covert surveillance to capture the thief. Of course just a few episodes later we find out that someone had been stealing controlled substances for several months from the pharmacy. But that little crime somehow escaped her notice. Tomatoes vs drugs yes i can see where one is so much more of a problem than the other.
It made perfect sense for Lucas and Cuddy to end up together as a couple. I wish TPTB knew she wanted to leave the show so they could've avoided the whole huddy debacle of S7 and just had her marry Lucas and have them move away together.

Re: Lucas Douglas
I just could never see the pairing of Cuddy and Lucas . I think it was just plot point.
To me Cuddy was very hard to pair off especially by then. She seemed in over her head with the suits so I guess guys who were a little more scruffy or less polished seemed the direction to go in . But they didn't do it for her either.
If there was a type for her I thought someone less driven by typical ambition but still had a job or career they were passionate about might be better for her.Maybe a grade school teacher or professor. Someone who had their own thing going but was a little more down to earth than she could be. When they talked about Cuddy looking for a normal relationship I thought maybe it was a joke because you wouldn't get that with Lucas.
So that was my thinking they should have actually found a normal guy.

Re: Lucas Douglas
He had a crush on her and since he didn't work a 9-5 job, he was around to take care of her kid. She was a step up for him, career and salary wise. Plus she had a hot body.
Her priority was always her job and not her personal life. So it was perfect for her to have someone who would put up with that and still be happy to be with her. Plus he complimented her and she missed that when House was gone.
It didn't take her long at all to forget about House. And for someone who was supposedly in love with him, she didn't hesitate to betray him and spill all his secrets to Lucas. Apparently confidentiality meant nothing to her. This was more than just gossiping about a mutual friend, she had an obligation to keep House's situation a secret because he was her employee and it involved his medical situation.
Lucas also didn't respect House as a friend as we saw later in the series. So you have two incredibly selfish people together as a couple. It may not have been ideal in the real world, but in House world they made a perfect couple and should've ended up together.

Re: Lucas Douglas
Yes that was jerky on both Cuddy and Lucas's part. Funny how Cuddy was mad that Wilson told House that Cuddy slept with her father's best friend but didn't see any problem with betraying House.
Re: Lucas Douglas
Because Cuddy can't see beyond herself. So it's not surprising that she's insulted when something happens to her but doesn't think twice about doing it to someone else.

Re: Lucas Douglas
Plus you should know if you tell Wilson what sounds like good gossip he won't keep it to himself! It amazes me when people are shocked at how gossipy Wilson could be.
Re: Lucas Douglas
Actually, Lucas Douglas originally has been introduced with the option to do a spin off series with him at a later point of time but these plans fell through.
House to Wilson about Cuddy: She is not some floozy in a bar. She is the floozy I work for.

Re: Lucas Douglas
Yeah that's what I meant. The series never actually made it but that was the plan.
Re: Lucas Douglas
Pity, I really like his character :(
Re: Lucas Douglas
Why exactly would he get his own spinoff? Fox must have been desperate to even consider it.
Lucas wasn't even that significant on the show with the exception of the relationship of Huddy.
